XAT 2022 Syllabus – Aiming to crack XAT 2022 with flying colors and get admission in top B.School? Then, you need to know the syllabus of the exam. As such, there is no official XAT syllabus. However, on the basis of past year data, experts have propounded topics from which questions are asked in the exam. These are important topics for Verbal Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge and essay writing sections. Exam Pattern of XAT 2022

XAT is held at the All-India level. Its score is accepted by more than 160 institutes. Check the exam pattern given below.

Duration: The candidates are given 3 hours and 10 minutes to complete the test.

Sectional Limit: There is no sectional limit in the exam. However, General Knowledge questions have to be completed in 15 minutes.

Type of questions: The are multiple-choice questions in the test.

Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, +1 marks will be awarded. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. There is no negative marking in the GK section. For 8 consecutive unanswered questions, 0.10 marks will be deducted.

How to Prepare for XAT 2022?

As per the previous years’ toppers, to get a good percentile in XAT, it needs 6-8 months of preparation. Now, to ace the exam, some preparation tips must be kept in mind. Check the preparation stragegy for XAT 2022 given below.

Understand the exam pattern: According to the previous year’s XAT topper, first of all understand the exam pattern and then start with the preparation. Know the duration of the exam, number of questions, marking scheme etc.

Give mock tests: It is advised to give mock tests on a daily basis. Then, analyze what are the errors in your problem-solving methods and then improve them. Also, do not ignore your strengths.

Keep your mind calm: While preparing for the exam, it is advised to be stress-free. For this, take short breaks in between the studies.

For Verbal Ability section: For this section, read a lot. Read newspapers, opinions online, novels, non-fiction books etc. To ace this section, focus on the reading speed and also the grasping capabilities.

For Decision-making section: Solve previous years question papers to know what type of questions in the exam. Also, solve mock tests to get an idea about how decision-making questions are asked in the exam.

For Quantitative Ability section: To get a good percentile in this section, understand the basic concepts. Go through 9th and 10th NCERT Mathematics books to get a hold of basic concepts.
