Important note on the syllabus of UGAT 2021 exam: AIMA does not officially release any syllabus per se for UGAT exam. However, the association has released sample questions. The purpose of the sample questions is to help you understand the syllabus. Using it, you can draw an idea of what type of questions are asked in the exam. UGAT 2021 Exam Pattern

Mode: UGAT is a paper-based test
Duration of the exam:
- For the programmes like IMBA, BBA, BCA etc, the duration of the exam is 2 hours
- For BHM, the duration of the test is 3 hours
Nature of the test: UGAT is an objective test which means, it comprises of multiple-choice questions.
Marking Scheme: Each question is of 01 mark. There is negative marking in case of wrong answers.

Preparation Tips for UGAT 2021

- Check the syllabus and make a time-table: Before starting with the preparation, make sure to check the syllabus of the exam. Jot down the important topics and then make a time-table. In the time-table, mention the months and hours that have to be devoted for the preparation of a section or topic.
- Read newspapers: Make a habit of reading newspapers to know about the latest happenings around the world.
- Improve your vocabulary: The candidates are advised to build their vocabulary by reading new words and phrases. While preparing for the exam, make a habit of finding the meaning of new words, the opposites of such words, synonyms of new words etc.
- Practice sample questions: It is advised to the candidates to practice as much as sample questions they can. By practicing the sample questions, the candidates will get a general idea about how the questions are asked in the exam.
Some points to keep in mind at the time of exam
- The candidates must first answer the questions that they are sure of.
- Utilize the time wisely and complete all those questions first in which there is 100% surety. Then, if the time is left, come back to the questions that have been left and answer them.
- UGAT is designed in such a way that it tests the accuracy as well as the speed of the candidates to solve the questions. So, utilize the time wisely and be cautious of what you are answering.
- Read the questions carefully and focus on what is actually being asked in the question.
- Do not do the guess-work as there is a negative marking in the exam.
UGAT 2021 Syllabus FAQs
Ans. The syllabus for UGAT 2021 exam comprises of English Language, Numerical and Data Analysis,
Reasoning and Intelligence, General Knowledge for IMBA, BBA, BCA entrance exam. Whereas for BHM, the syllabus consists of English Language, Numerical and Data Analysis, Reasoning and Intelligence, General Knowledge, Service Aptitude, Scientific Aptitude.
Ans. In the i-MBA, BBA, BCA exam there are 40 questions on English Language, and 30 each in Numerical and Data Analysis, Reasoning and Intelligence, General Knowledge. In the BHM exam, there are 40 questions in English Language, 30 each in Numerical and Data Analysis, Reasoning and Intelligence, General Knowledge, and 25 each in Service Aptitude, Scientific Aptitude.
