TISSNET Syllabus 2021 is prescribed by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). All aspirants have to follow the new syllabus of TISSNET 2021 to prepare for the entrance exam for admission into MA programmes. In the exam, you will face questions from English proficiency, Mathematics and Logical reasoning, and General Awareness. The syllabus for all these 3 sections is given on this page. NOTE: The selection process for TISS MA admission 2021 has changed this year. After TISSNET, those who wish to take admission in HRM & LR, ODCL courses have to appear for TISS MAT and Online Personal Interview. Whereas, for admission in rest of the courses, candidates have to appear for TISS PAT and Online Personal Interview.

TISSNET Exam Pattern 2021
TISSNET is a computer based test which is of 1 hour and 40 minutes. In all, there are 100 MCQs in the exam, which are of 1 marks each. There is no negative marking in the exam.

TISSMAT 2021 Exam Pattern
TISS-MAT is a 45 minutes exam. It is a combination computer based MCQ (multiple choice questions) and descriptive writing questions. Each question in TISSMAT is of 1 marks.
Unlike TISSNET, in TISSMAT there is negative marking. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks shall be deducted.

There is no sectional cutoff in TISSMAT.
TISSPAT 2021 Syllabus and Pattern
The TISSPAT shall also be a 45 minute exam and will be held in separately for rest of the individual programmes.
It shall be held before the Online Personal Interview. Apart from this, rest of the details shall be uploaded soon by TISS.
Objectives of TISSNET Syllabus 2021 Objectives
TISS has also given the objectives of TISSNET syllabus 2021. Candidates must know these in order t understand what the syllabus demands so that one can prepare in that direction:

The most important section in TISSNET 2021 is the General Awareness (GA), as this section deals with candidate’s knowledge of developmental and socio-political issues which is the core of the MA programmes offered at TISS.
Also, GA is the only section that has sectional cutoff. Candidate not scoring minimum cut-off mark for the General Awareness as above are not qualified in TISS NET irrespective of the aggregate score.

For the GK section: To prepare GK for TISSNET, candidates should gather the TISSNET Exam GK material. It should be noted that good preparation of GK for TISSNET 2021 can lead you through the TISS shortlisting process. About TISSNET 2021
Tata Institute of Social Sciences conducts the Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test. It is a national level examination. After the TISSNET 2021 examination TISS releases a merit list with the names of all the selected candidates. All the qualified candidates are required to complete the admission process and appear for the seat allotment round.
