TISSNET 2021 Analysis
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has conducted National Entrance Test (NET) 2021 on Saturday, February 19, 2021. The test started at 2 PM and ended at 3:40 PM. Now you can check the analysis here.

Overview of TISSNET 2021 Analysis
- Around 60 questions were easy-moderate.
- GA will be make or break section.
- Cut off expected to go above 68-72.
- GA section – Was easy. A decent attempt would be 18 questions.
- English Proficiency section – There were 2 paragraphs. One was on OTT. And other was on coffee houses and how it created revolution in the world. The OTT one was easier. The second one had inference based questions. Entire section was moderately difficult. 18 – 20 questions.
- Mathematical Skills and Logical Reasoning – Logarithm, geometry, simple questions Solvable in 15-20 seconds. Some were sitters, but not very lengthy. Difficulty was same as last time, hence moderately difficulty only.

Expected Cut Off of TISSNET 2021
The first thing you will want to know, in the analysis is, what is the expected cut off this time? As per the preliminary analysis of the exam, the cut off for MA HR and ODCL should be between 68 to 72 for general candidates.
Note – There will be sectional cut off in GA section. General, EWS, KM, AF candidates must have at least 14 marks, and OBC, PWD should have at least 12 in order to be considered for further evaluation. There is no sectional cut off for SC, ST candidates.
Last year, it was predicted that TISSNET cut off will be 73-76 for Gen candidates for Mumbai campus HRM program. For this year, we will update the data after exam concludes.

Unlike last year, this year TISS-NET 2021 was a standalone paper, and was not immediately followed by TISS-MAT. Instead, first TISS will announce the results of TISS NET 2021, and on the basis of it, call candidates for next round. This time, there is also a change in selection process, whereby now there will be a TISS-PAT 2021 for all courses, and TISS-MAT 2021 for MA HRM&LR, MA ODCL courses.
Highlights of the exam
- TISSNET 2021 is a computer based test.
- The TISSNET 2021 question paper will have 100 questions divided into 3 sections.
- There is no sectional time limit.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- There is no negative marking.

Last Year’s Exam Analysis

- TISSNET exam last year was comparatively easier than the previous year.
- The questions in the Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning sections were easier.
- Whereas the English section was slightly difficult as a few questions on vocabulary were tough.
- The General Awareness section, keeping with tradition, once again emerged as the toughest of all.

Tata Institute of Social Science will announce TISSNET 2021 result online at tiss.edu. TISS-NET is the first thing to clear for TISS MA admissions. A limited number of candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of TISS-NET, for next rounds. Note that in this selection, reservation rules do not apply.
Step #1 after TISS NET 2021: TISS MAT 2021 or TISS PAT 2021
All candidates who qualify TISS NET 2021 will appear in TISS Programme Aptitude Test (PAT) – except MA HRM and MA ODCL. This will be of 45 minutes for each programme. Therefore those who have opted for 2 programs will sit for a 90 minutes test, and so on.
Those who qualify and are for HRM, ODCL programmes, have to appear in TISS Management Aptitude Test (MAT). This will be of 45 minutes, for 50 marks.
Step #2 after TISS NET 2021: OPI
This will happen after candidates are shortlisted on the basis of PAT / MAT. This will be an Online Personal Interview round. Candidates will be informed to attend OPI as per the OPI lists.
Final Selection – The final selection will be on the basis of following methodology.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences conducts the Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test. It is a national level examination. All the interested and eligible candidates are required to register for appearing to TISSNET 2021 and then they can download their admit card to appear for the test as per the given schedule. The language of the paper will be English. TISSNET 2021 is a Computer Based Test. There are a total of 3 sections in TISSNET 2021. After the examination, TISS releases result at TISSNET 2021 login with the names of all the selected candidates.
