SNAP 2021 Analysis – Symbiosis International University has conducted the SNAP 2021 phase 3 on January 16, 2022 (10.00 am – 11.00 am). The total number of questions in SNAP phase 3 is 60. The sectional weightage is General English – 15, Reasoning – 25, DI/Data Sufficiency/Quant – 20. The SNAP 2021 is being held as a computer-based test (CBT). Phase 3 of SNAP 2021 was easier than phase 1 and phase 2. The number of total questions is 60. Reasoning had had 25 questions, English had 15 questions and DI/DS/quant had 20 questions.
In quant/DI 15 questions were easy while 5 questions were lengthy. The topics in quant were probability, time & distance, profit and loss, series of blood relations. 2 questions were based on percentages and both of them were calculation intensive. One question was from geometry. One question was from Data Interpretation.
In verbal ability, questions were from the conversion of tenses, speech, poem-based question, para jumbles, proverb, idioms. The LOD of verbal ability was easy.
The level of difficulty in LR was similar to phase 2. 2-3 questions were from calendars. 3 questions were based on a series. Few questions were based on implicit and explicit. The decision-making question LOD of moderate. 4-5 questions were based on blood relations. 8-9 questions were based on critical reasoning.

The number of total questions is 60. Reasoning had had 25 questions, English had 15 questions and DI/DS/quant had 20 questions. Phase 2 was easier than the last phase.
In quant/DI 19 questions were from quant and one question was from DI. The quant sections had many questions from clocks, calendars, and arithmetic. The quant was lengthier but not as much as 1st phase.
In verbal ability, there was no RC, no para jumbles, and no syllogisms. 3 questions were from idioms, 2 from poems verses. The rest of the questions were from grammar, fill-in-the-blanks, and synonyms.
The level of difficulty in LR was higher than the phase 1. 2-3 questions were from decision making. Truth and lies questions were in the LR which is usually seen in the XAT exam.

The number of total questions is 60. General English had 15 questions, Reasoning had 25 questions and quant/DI/DS had 20 questions.
The verbal ability had questions from idioms and phrases, prepositions, conjunctions, synonyms, antonyms, correct spelling, parts of speech. There were no questions from RC or para jumbles. There was one poem-based question (a poem by Sarojini Naidu). There were many questions from fill-in-the-blanks.
Logical reasoning was the easiest section in SNAP. Candidates attempted the most questions from this section. Many questions were from critical reasoning such as statement assumption, syllogism. Other questions in reasoning were based on blood relations, linear arrangement, seating arrangement, number series. 18 questions were from Analytical reasoning and 7 questions were from verbal reasoning.
The question in the quant sections was lengthy. Questions were based on permutations & combinations, probability, geometry, arithmetic, algebra.

SNAP 2020 Exam Analysis
SNAP 2020 was organized three times last year. The first SNAP was conducted on 20 December 2020, between 11:00 and 12:00 hrs, the second SNAP was conducted on January 6th, 2021 between 11:00 and 12:00 hrs. While the third SNAP was conducted on 9th January 2021. The questions were easier as compared to the previous CAT examination. Hence, the cut-off must be higher this time. - This year there was no Reading comprehension question.
- Since there was no Reading comprehension, Candidates were able to finish this section in less than 10 minutes. Thus, they had enough time for the Quant and Reasoning section.
- Questions came from the topics like idioms and phrases, spelling corrections, parts of speech etc.
- Other usual questions of SNAP such as Idioms, Synonyms, Antonyms and Parts of speech were asked.
- Approximately 12+ questions can be considered good attempt in this section.
- The difficulty level was moderate. Here moderate means kind of Easy, the only twist was in the grammar related questions.

SNAP 2019 Analysis
SNAP 2019 was considered an uninteresting entrance exam with weird questions and their options. General English was the easiest section of this year whereas Quantitative Ability was the lengthy one. This year there was a total of 3 sections namely- General English, Quantitative Ability, and Analytical and Logical Reasoning in the paper with a total of 34, 35, and 36 in each section. The duration of the exam was 120 minutes.
SNAP 2019 Section-wise Exam analysis
General English
- There were a lot of questions from Vocabulary portions.
- There were only two RCs like last year but this time one of them had 3 questions while the other had 5 questions, which made it 8 questions from RCs. Except for 1 RC, the entire General English was a cakewalk and one should have got done with it really quickly.
- The vocabulary questions weren’t difficult as they were last year.
- The FIB questions were also easy and also the grammar based questions.
- Overall, the section was the easiest in the whole question paper.

- It was the most time consuming section of the whole question paper.
- There were a lot of questions from Time, speed and distance, Geometry and Modern maths.
- Some questions were quite lengthy and were very time consuming.

- Logical reasoning was quite similar to previous year with some questions being lengthy and boring.
- There were a couple of caselets which were quite easy and should be easy marks for the test takers.
- Questions were more from Analytical Reasoning as compared to Verbal Reasoning.
