The selection process for admission to the International Institute of Sports Management consist of two stages. The first stage consist of submission of Caselet (for Master’s applications) or Essay (for Bachelor’s applications) followed by the SMAT exam. SMAT 2021 Syllabus For Caselet/Essay

Stage I of IISM selection process for admission consist of a Caselet/Essay round. Candidates who opt for Master’s or PGP programs are given 4 topics to write Caselets. The topics are provided by the Institute and each topic carries 20 marks. Similarly, those who apply for Bachelor’s degree programs are given a single topic to write an Essay on. The Essay carries 80 marks.

SMAT exam is not very tough to crack if candidates have adequate knowledge and proficiency in requisite areas. Here are some important preparation tips to follow before the exam to get good results.

About SMAT

The Sports Management Aptitude Test is an entrance exam for admission to the programs offered by IISM. International Institute of Sports Management offers programs at the UG, PG & PGP levels to candidates who qualify through a rather unconventional selection process. SMAT exam is a part of the entire selection process for admission to IISM. Candidates have to submit a Caselet/Essay at first after which, they are allowed to appear in the SMAT exam. Final selection is done through Caselet/Essay, SMAT and Overall Performance in Stage I and Personal Interview in Stage II. The minimum cumulative marks one must secure in Stage I and Stage II taken together is 60%.
