SCERT Assam Syllabus 2022 – Check the Subject Wise Syllabus

SCERT Assam Syllabus 2022 – Candidates planning to appear for Assam Pre Elementary Test (PET) can check the syllabus from this page below. The syllabus for Assam PET will be released, on the official website, scertassam.co.in. The syllabus for PETR will be released by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). There will be two sections in the PET exam that will have sections from General English, General Mathematics, General Knowledge, General Science & EVS Reasoning, Social Science, Language (Assamese / Bangla / Bodo). The exam will be held in offline mode and will be for two hours. A total of 100 questions will be asked in the exam for a total of 100 marks.

Assam PET is conducted to give admission to the candidates into a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education course in the NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutes of the state.

SCERT Assam Syllabus 2022

The syllabus for Assam PET is not yet released. However, for the time being, candidates can refer to last year’s syllabus that we have provided for their help. As soon as the authorities will announce it, we shall update the same.

As told earlier, the PET syllabus will be divided into two parts:

Assam PET Syllabus 2022 for Mathematics

Following topics are to be covered for the maths section:

• Numbers: Natural, Whole, even, and odd numbers, prime and composite numbers, place
  value, four fundamental operations of number, factors, and multiples, prime factors, LCM and
  HCF, ascending and descending order.
• Fractions : Concept of fraction and its uses.
• Percentage : Concept of percentage, solving problems involving percentage, profit, and loss.
  Money: Concept of money, solving problems involving money.
• Geometry: Angles, types of angles, types of triangle, types of quadrilateral, circle.
• Measurement : Length, area, volume, and perimeter of different geometrical figures,
• Measurement of weight and time.
• Data handling: Representation of data, Bar diagram, Pie diagram.
• Square & square root: Concept of square root, solving problems involving square root.

Assam PET Exam Pattern 2022

Candidates can check the exam pattern for SCERT Assam PET 2022 from below.

• Exam Duration: Assam PET will be for 2 hours.
• Exam Mode: The will be in pen and aper mode, i.e. offline.
• Number of questionsA total of 100 questions will be asked in the exam.
• Type of questions: The questions will be in MCQ type.
• Sections: There will be two sections in the PET exam.
• Marking Scheme: Candidates will be awarded 01 mark for every correct answer and 0.25 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. If more than one response is marked by the candidate, it will be treated as incorrect response and hence 0.25 marks shall be deducted.

SCERT Assam PET 2022 Preparation Tips

Here are some preparation tips for candidates to prepare for SCERT Assam PET 2022:

• Make sure to be fully aware of the syllabus properly before starting off with the preparation. Knowing syllabus is a must.
• For general knowledfe and english section, read newspaper daily. It will improve the vocabulary and at the same time you will updated of the current happenings.
• Solve and practise more and more reasoning questions. This will help you gain confidence for reasoning section.
• Solve mock test and previous year question papers as much as you can to increase confidence and time efficiency.
• Start mathematics from the basic and focus more on the sections in which your are weak.
