PGIMER 2022 Result

The final results for all the courses is displayed online on pgimer.edu.in only. PGIMER 2022 result will not be informed individually through telephone and the candidates are requested not to reach out to the Academic Section for the same.

There is no provision for re-checking or re-evaluation of the answer sheets and no query pertaining to this will be entertained.

PGIMER 2022 Admit Card

The candidates can download PGIMER 2022 admit card from pgimer.edu.in. The admit card is released for only those candidates whose registration form has been accepted. It is not sent via post. To download it, the candidates have to provide their login credentials.

Any candidate who does not have the admit card will not be allowed to enter the exam hall, so it is necessary to carry the admit card on the day of the exam. Details like exam date, timings of the exam, roll number etc are mentioned in the hall ticket.

PGIMER 2022 Preparation Tips

Cracking the PGIMER 2022 exam requires consistent effort and revisions. The candidates are advised to follow the below tips to prepare for the entrance exam:

  • Follow a schedule – It is advised to follow a systematic revision schedule to avoid confusion while preparing.
  • Avoid sleep deprivation – Sacrificing sleep for revision might seem like a good idea but can cause health problems which must be avoided at all costs.
  • Refer Notes – It can be very difficult to go through the entire syllabus during the revision. So, to avoid this, it is recommended that the candidates refer notes prepared earlier to get in quick revision sessions and cover more topics quickly.

PGIMER 2022 Counseling

Allocation of various courses will be done on the basis of personal counseling. The number of candidates to be considered for counseling will be 3 times the total number of seats to be filled for each category of candidates, provided the candidates score the minimum cut-off percentage.

Any candidate who doesn’t appear at the time of counseling will not be considered for admission. Under exceptional circumstances, if any candidate reports for counseling after their turn, they will be considered for admission only in the disciplines available at that time. All the candidates must bring the original certificates at the time of counseling and join.

The candidates must be physically fit in order to take admission in the course. The candidates shall be medically examined by the Board.

Note: The candidates availing reservation are required to bring their reservation certificates at the time of counseling and at the time of joining. The certificate produced shall not be older than 1 year from the date of document verification. The claim shall be treated invalid in case the above requirements are not fulfilled.

PGIMER 2022 Selection Procedure

The different programs offered by PGIMER have different selection criteria as mentioned below. Candidates can refer to the selection criteria for their entrance exam below:

M.Sc./M.Sc. MLT

  1. The Computer Based entrance test will be conducted as the first step of the selection process. The test will be conducted online and will consist of MCQ based questions which will involve a negative marking of -0.25 marks.
  2. In order to clear the entrance test, the candidates will have to clear the cut-off percentage declared by the PGIMER:

M.SC. courses

  1. Open (General) and Sponsored/Deputed – 50%
  2. OBC, SC/ST & PwBD – 45%

M.SC. MLT courses

  1. Sponsored/Deputed – 50%
  2. The candidates who clear the cut-off percentage shall be eligible for counselling. Counselling will be a personal interview conducted by the Selection Committee based on which, the candidates will be allotted courses and seats.

OHS

  1. The Computer Based entrance test will be conducted as the first step of the selection process. The test will be conducted online and will consist of MCQ based questions which will involve a negative marking of -0.25 marks.
  2. In order to clear the entrance test, the merit list of candidates will be prepared based on the percentile scores irrespective of their categories. The candidates with minimum cut-off percentiles will qualify for counselling and admission:
  • Open (General) – 55th percentile
  • OBC, PwBD, SC/ST – 50th percentile

The candidates who clear the cut-off percentage shall be eligible for counselling. Counselling will be a personal interview conducted by the Selection Committee based on which, the candidates will be allotted courses and seats.

Fellowship/Post-Doctoral Fellowship courses

  1. The Computer Based entrance test will be conducted as the first step of the selection process. The test will be conducted online and will consist of MCQ based questions which will involve a negative marking of -0.25 marks.
  2. The merit list will be prepared based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance test.
  3. The candidates will be ranked as Juniors and Seniors based on their number of attempts. In case two candidates have same number of attempts, the candidate scoring higher marks will be placed in a senior position to the one who scores less.
  4. Counselling will be a personal interview conducted by the Selection Committee based on which, the candidates will be allotted courses and seats. The selection will be done based on the merit list prepared after the theory examination.

Ph.D. Program

  1. The theory paper will be divided into two parts, all the questions in Part-1 will be mandatory and will carry a weightage of 40 marks. Part-II will contain 100 questions, out of which only 40 need to be attempted. Correct responses will be awarded with 1 mark and incorrect responses will be negatively scored with -0.25 marks. Unanswered questions will be marked 0.
  2. The merit list will be prepared based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance test.
  3. The candidates will be ranked as Juniors and Seniors based on their number of attempts. In case two candidates have same number of attempts, the candidate scoring higher marks will be placed in a senior position to the one who scores less.
  4. Candidates who score the minimum cut-off marks in the entrance test will be eligible to appear for counselling.
  • General/OBC/Sponsored/FN category – 40 marks
  • SC/ST Category – 36 marks

Counselling will be a personal interview conducted by the Selection Committee based on which, the candidates will be allotted courses and seats.

Medical examination of the candidates will be conducted by a Medical Board constituted by the Institute to determine the medical fitness of the candidates. Medical fitness is a pre-requisite for registration of all candidates.

PGIMER 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Given below is the eligibility criteria that the candidates are required to fulfill in order to apply for PGIMER 2022 exam:

M.Sc./ M.Sc. MLT Courses

  • Pharmacology – Candidate should possess MBBS passed or an equivalent qualification from a University recognized by the Medical Council of India or B.Sc. or B.v.Sc. Or B. Pharma passed from a recognized University.
  • Respiratory Care – B.Sc. in Medical laboratory technology/Nursing/Medical/Physiotherapy from any University in India with at least 55% marks. At least 3 years of experience in respective field is required by the Sponsored candidates after qualifying B.Sc.
  • Audiology and Speech Language Pathology – B.Sc. (Audiology & Speech Therapy) or Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology from a recognized University with at least 50% marks and 1 year internship in respective field by the General candidates. At least 3 years of experience in respective field is required by the Sponsored candidates after qualifying B.Sc.
  • Anaesthesia – B.Sc. in Medical Technology (Operation Theatre) from a recognized University with at least 55% marks. At least 3 years of experience in respective field after finishing B.Sc.

House Job (OHS)

  • Bachelor must possess Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree recognized by Dental Council of India.
  • Must have completed or is about to complete the mandatory rotatory internship on or before 31st December for January session and 30th June for July session.
  • Candidate must be registered with the Central/State Dental Registration Council.
  • The candidates selected for House Job (Oral Health Sciences) are appointed for a period of six months which can be extended up to 1 year on the recommendation of Head of Department.
  • The candidates who have already completed House Job in any hospital/institute are not eligible for house job at PGIMER.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program

  • The candidate must have passed MD/MS from a University recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  • Nursing Fellowship (Pediatric Critical Care Nursing) – candidate must have B.Sc. or Post Basic with 1 year of experience Pediatrics or M.Sc. Pediatric on or before 31st December 2021.
  • Nursing fellowship (Neonatal Nursing) – the candidate must have B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic with 1 year clinical or teaching experience in Pediatric or M.Sc. Pediatric/Child Health Nursing on or before 31st December 2021.
  • Candidate must have completed or is about to complete 2 years of senior residency in the concerned department on or before 31st December 2021.
  • Must be registered with the Central or State Medical Registration Council or Nurse (R.N. & R.M.) or equivalent.
  • Must be within the prescribed age limit at the start of the term:
    • General – 45 years
    • SC/ST – 50 years
    • OBC – 48 years
    • Ex-servicemen and Commissioned Officer including ECO, SSCO – 50 years
    • Sponsored candidates from other State Governments – No limit
  • Note – The Candidates who are applying for Fellowships PGI and Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) courses should check the Admission Notice for Fellowships PGI in various departments at the PGI website – pgimer.edu.in.

Ph.D. Courses

The candidates pursuing Ph.D. courses must possess at least one of the following qualifications:

  • For Medical Sciences – MBBS/MDS/Master of Physio-therapy with a minimum score of 55% or MD/MS in the concerned subject or Diplomate of National Board of Examination. A failure/compartment will be counted as an attempt. The candidate who possess the above qualifications from a University/Institute not recognized by the Medical Council of India will not be considered eligible.
  • For Non-Medical/Life Sciences/Social Behavioral Sciences – The candidates who have passed M.Sc/MA/Masters in Engineering or an equivalent examination with at least 60% from the universities/institutes recognized by the UGC in specified subjects will be considered eligible.

  • The candidates should fill the forms correctly. Incorrectly submitted forms may lead to the rejection of the application.
  • After completing the online registration, fill in the mandatory details correctly.

  • Each candidate should submit only one application. Duplicate applications may result in cancellation of application.
