NMAT 2021 – Application Form (Out on 03 Jan), Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Preparation

NMAT 2021 – GMAC is going to open an additional registration window for the NMAT exam on 03 January 2022. The candidates who missed to appear for this exam last time or the candidates who want to retake the exam can register themselves until 09 January 2022. NMAT 2021 for this session will be conducted between 11 January – 15 January 2022. Candidates can visit the official website or click on the link given below to apply for this exam.

Previously NMAT 2021 was being conducted from 14 Oct 2021 to 27 Dec 2021. NMAT is a management entrance exam conducted by GMAC for admission to different business programs of leading business schools in countries like India, South Africa, Philipines, Nigeria, and Morocco. Candidates are allowed a maximum of 3 attempts for NMAT 2021. NMAT 2021 will be conducted as a computer-based test in India and also as an online mode proctored-based exam.

NMAT 2021 Exam Cancelled? Here’s What to Do Next

Recently various students who attempted NMAT 2021 received a mail that their exam is canceled and they are getting a reattempt free of cost. The candidates who have recently attempted the NMAT exam are advised to check their registered email address to see if they have received any e-mail from NMAT. The information to check whether the exam is canceled is not available on the student dashboard on NMAT official website. To take that reattempt of NMAT 2021 candidates can refer to the below-mentioned points.

  • The reattempt will be taken as your first attempt if you wish to reattempt and have not taken the retake exam. The higher scores of the two will be made the official scorecard.
  • If the candidate has already selected any schools to send their scorecard, the NMAT will send the new scorecards to those schools.
  • If candidates have already selected retake exams, they need to contact the NMAT authority and cancel their retake exams. The reattempt exam will replace that canceled retake exam and the fee for the retake exam will be refunded.
  • To schedule the reattempt exam, candidates need to reply to the same email with all the details like Schedule Time, Date, center-based test, or home-based proctored exam. Candidates should send these details on or before 15 Nov 2021.

Firstly, the candidates who attempted the NMAT 2021 on 14 Oct 2021 received a mail from GMAC on their registered email address that due to a technical issue they are being provided a reattempt for the examination. After that various students receive the exam cancellation mail on different dates with different technical issues. One technical issue was that the NMAT was not able to record the screens of candidates who were attempting the exam. Another reason NMAT gave on the mail was that the time allotted for the language section was reduced by 3 minutes incorrectly.

The candidates will only be allowed a maximum of 3 attempts in the current testing year i.e. 01 Jul 2021 – 30 Jun 2022. Below are the number of attempts a candidate can take on the basis of the first attempt.

Each candidate will receive a different set of questions. Every question will be randomly selected from a question bank. For every section time limit, the number of questions, and difficulty levels are already determined. NMAT Admit Card 2021

NMAT 2021 Admit Card will be available on its official website i.e. mba.com. Admit card will be released after the candidate has selected the date and test center. If a candidate has selected to appear for the exam at the test center, they have to take admit card with them. If a candidate has chosen to appear for a proctor-based exam, they have to show the admit card to the proctor on exam day. Important things to remember:

  • Check the photograph on admit card is clearly visible
  • If the photo is not clearly visible contact the help desk
  • Remember to show admit card to proctor on exam day
  • Take other ID documents asked with you on exam day

NMAT Test Centers 2021

Candidates who wish to appear for the exam at a test center can select the same during the application form. A computer-based test will be conducted at all the exam test centers. Candidates from Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Nepal can only give the exam via online mode proctor-based test at home. NMAT in India will be held across 73 test centers in 68 cities. NMAT Results 2021

NMAT 2021 Results will be declared within 48 hours of the exam taken. The candidate will be notified on the registered email-id once the score is ready to download. Candidates will receive the scaled scores for each section. NMAT result scores are obtained by evaluating the candidate’s ability based on the probabilistic model approach of modern exam theory. The scores are then transformed into a scaled score range between 12 and 120.

Candidates will receive NMAT 2021 results in terms of scaled scores. Scaled scores mean the scores candidates receive will depend upon the type of question they answered. A high-scoring candidate has answered more difficult questions and a low-scoring candidate has answered less difficult questions. Candidates will be able to see their scores immediately after submitting the form.

NMAT 2021 Accpeting Colleges

Leading business schools from India, South Africa, the Philippines, Morocco, and Nigeria accept the NMAT scores in their selection process. Candidates will have an option to send their scores to those business schools. The cost of sending scores to 5 schools/programs is included in the candidate’s registration fee.
