NLSAT 2022 – NLSIU Bangalore has released the NLSAT 2022 application form on its official website i.e. nls.ac.in. The National Law School Admissions Test (NLSAT) is going to be conducted on 24 April 2022. This law entrance exam is going to be conducted for admission into 3 year LLB program of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU). The first batch of 3 year LLB program in NLSIU will be admitted by NLSAT. Age Limit

There is no age limit specified by the NLS Bangalore to apply for NLSAT 2022.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants should have completed their bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university (National or International).
  • The applicant belonging to the general category must have scored at least 45% aggregate in their bachelors’ degree. While the applicants who belong to SC/ST category should have scored at least 40% aggregate marks.
  • The students who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply but they should have completed their graduation before the final process of admission.

How to Fill NLSAT 2022 Application Form

1st Step – Visit the official website or click on the link given above.

2nd Step – Enter your personal details such as name, DOB, email address, mobile number. Verify the email address and mobile number OTP. Then choose a password and click on submit.

3rd Step – Now enter general details like gender, father’s name, mother’s name, category, ID proof details. Then enter your communication details. Now fill in your academic details, work experience details, and choose your test center preference. Click on submit.

4th Step – Upload your images and documents as per the given specifications.

5th Step – Preview the form and click on Proceed to payment to pay the application fees.

NLSAT 2022 Syllabus – Part B

Part B of NLSAT 2022 contains two sections i.e. Legal aptitude/reasoning and Current affairs. Candidates can refer to the below information for the detailed syllabus of NLSAT 2022.

Legal aptitude/reasoning – This section comprises problem-based short answer questions. There is no requirement for knowledge of legal aptitude. There will be 10 questions of 5 marks each.

Current affairs – This section will have one essay-based question and candidates have to write the answer in less than 500 words. Three options will be provided to the candidate on a topic related to current affairs and they have to write on one of them. This section will test the candidate’s knowledge of the topic, their ability to have strong arguments about the topic. There is no requirement for knowledge of legal aptitude. There will be 10 questions of 5 marks each.

30% of the total seats are horizontally reserved for women candidates. Horizontal reservation means 30% of each category i.e. scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, OBCs, EWS, PwD, and general category are reserved for women applicants.

25% of the total seats are horizontally reserved for Karnataka students. This means that 30% of each category i.e. scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, OBCs, EWS, PwD, and general category are reserved for Karnataka students. NLSAT 2022 Admission Process

NLSIU Bangalore has divided the admission process of NLSAT 2022 into 3 stages. The first 2 stages of the admission process are the NLSAT written exam while the third stage is the personal interview. Candidates can refer to the following information for all 3 stages of the NLSAT admission process.

Stage 1 – Part A of the NLSAT entrance exam is considered the 1st stage. Part A consists of 75 MCQs of 1 mark each. Candidates for the next stage will be selected on the marks obtained in part A. The candidates will be selected in a ratio of 1:5 which means for every 1 seat 5 students will be selected for the next stage. Part A is only qualifying in nature which means the marks of part A will not be used in the later stages of the admission process.

Stage 2 – Part B of the NLSAT entrance exam is considered the 2nd stage. Part B consists of 11 questions – 10 short answer-based questions and 1 essay-based question. This part is of 65 marks. Every candidate who is appearing for NLSAT has to attempt both parts. Part B of NLSAT will be evaluated only for those candidates who are qualified in part A.

The qualified candidates in part B will be selected for the final stage of the admission process. The candidates will be selected in the ratio of 1:2.5 for the next stage.

Stage 3 – The candidates will be called for a personal interview at the NLS Bangalore. The qualified candidates on the basis of part B will be called for an interview. The interview will be of a maximum of 10 marks.

After the completion of the interview, NLSIU will release a merit list based on the scores obtained in part B of NLSAT and interview.
