NIFT 2021 – NIFT has released the call letter for the 2nd Round of online counselling. Candidates can download the call letter using their form number and date of birth. NIFT will start the 2nd round online counselling from August 13, 2021. NIFT has released the final result for B.Des, M.Des., MFM & MFTech Programmes and B.F.Tech course at nift.ac.in. Previously, NIFT 2021 result was announced on 17 March and candidates can check the GAT result from the official website, which is nift.ac.in. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi, is offering admission to B.Des, B.Ftech, M.Des, M.FTech and MFM courses to 17 campuses. Selection is on the basis of CAT, GAT, GD / PI, depending on course. NIFT 2021 is a design entrance exam. NIFT 2021 Counselling
After the declaration of results, the selected candidates have to appear for the NIFT 2021 counselling. They need to register with their basic details first. It is followed by the release of call letter of the applicants. They have to then appear for the document verification round at NIFT campus. Candidates have to carry their original documents only which are returned after verification.

NIFT 2021 Result
National Institute of Technology i.e NIFT, Delhi, has released the NIFT 2021 result on the official website. It is displayed in the form of a merit list. Candidates can also check their scorecard by logging in with their roll number, application form and DOB.
The NIFT 2021 result is released separately for General Aptitude Test (GAT) i.e written test. It is provided differently for B.Des and M.Des course.
After so, the NIFT 2021 final result is displayed after the GAT, CAT, Situation Test is held for B.Des / M.Des courses.
However, in case of M.FTech / B.Ftech /MFM courses, the final result is calculated on the basis of the GAT / GD and then PI.
NIFT 2021 Tie Breaking Criteria
In case, 2 or more candidates score the same marks, the tie is solved with the help of the following tie breaking criteria.

NIFT releases the NIFT 2021 admit card on nift.ac.in. It is provided in the PDF format. Candidates need to login application number, DOB and password. The NIFT hall ticket is released separately for the CAT ( Creative Ability Test) and GAT ( General Ability Test). The admit card comprises of important details like name of candidate. test centre name and address, timings and instructions for the exam.
Since, the Creative Ability Test is only for held for the Design students, the CAT admit card is provided to the B.Design and M.Design candidates only.
The GAT i.e General Ability Test is issued to all the candidates appearing in the NIFT 2021 examination.

General Ability Test
Quantitative Ability: Questions and topics from Class 9 and Class 10 Maths are asked mostly. Questions are asked from

General Knowledge: You should focus on GK related to the design fraternity, fashion world, Oscars, Names of Paintings and Painters etc.
Case Study: The sub-test is based on a situation of an industry environment. It helps to evaluate the candidate’s managerial ability.
Creative Ability Test
This is a subjective type question test, where candidate’s illustration level and colour skills are checked.

NIFT 2021 Exam Pattern of General Ability Test
The exam pattern is one of the first steps to prepare for NIFT 2021 examination. Candidates must read and understand it carefully. The GAT is different for Design programs, and Fashion Technology programs. Further, they are different for UG, PG, and program wise. Check the pattern below.

How to Prepare for NIFT 2021 Examination?
NIFT is a design aptitude examination, hence candidates need to brush up their skills, drawing and sketching. Here are more tips on how to prepare for NIFT exam.
Sketch a lot: Students should draw and do a lot sketching of all the things around yourself. Use good quality pencil and colors only.
Work on observation skills: The students draw each and every object they observe in 2-D or 3-D perspective. This will make them ready for the situation test held for B.Design course.
Learn from Class 10 textbooks: The students can prepare for English Comprehension and Quantitative Ability section from their Class 9-10 NCERT textbooks.
Practice from sample papers: It is advisable to prepare from the sample papers of NIFT. By doing so, you can learn about the type of questions asked.
Focus on GK topics: You should have a basic knowledge about Indian Painters, Oscars, Artists etc.
NIFT 2021 Test Centres
Candidates have to select the centers, while filling the application form. The NIFT exam is held at the following test centres.
NIFT 2021 Application Form
The conducting body releases the NIFT application form 2021 on nift.ac.in/. Candidates need to apply online only. It is the responsibility of the candidate to preserve the application form until the end, as it is required at the time of admission. The NIFT 2021 application form procedure includes registration, application form filling, uploading documents, payment of fee. The application form fee is non-refundable

NIFT 2021 Application Form Correction Window
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi provides a special window to edit mistakes in their application form. Candidates can make changes in the application form under the login portal at applyadmission.net/nift2021/. In order to edit mistakes, candidates have to log in with an Email ID and Date of Birth. Important things to know about the NIFT 2021 application form correction window are as follows.
- The application correction window opened on January 25, 2021, and candidates can edit till January 28, 2021, up to 5 PM.
- Candidates can edit a few credentials details like Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Category, Candidate’s address, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, etc.
NIFT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must read and understand the eligibility criteria before filling the NIFT 2021 application form. If found ineligible at a later stage, the candidature is cancelled.
For B.Des, B.FTech
- The maximum age of applicant should be 24 years as on August 1, 2021.
- The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for SC / ST / PWD.
Educational Qualifications For B.Des
Candidate must have passed
- Class 12 from CBSE or any other recognised board. OR
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by National Open School with minimum 5 subjects. OR
- 3 or 4 year diploma. OR
- Exam recognised as equal to 10+2 by the Association of Indian Universities. OR
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB).
Educational Qualifications For B.FTech
- Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. OR
- 3 or 4 yr Diploma in Engineering. OR
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by National Open School with minimum 5 subjects with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- Exam recognised as equal to 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics by the Association of Indian Universities. OR
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / International Baccalaureate (IB).
For M.Des, M.F.M and M.FTech
- There is no age limit.
For M.Des, MFM
- UG in any discipline. OR
- UG Diploma of min 3 yrs from NIFT or NID.
- B.FTech. from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). OR
- B.E / B.Tech. from any Institute
NIFT 2021 Reservation Criteria
