NERIST NEE 2021 North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology conducts the NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) once a year for admission to academic programs at the institute. NERIST NEE is conducted for admission to the certificate programs, B.Tech, B.Sc Forestry, and B.Tech Lateral Entry programs. The examination is conducted across centres located in various North-Eastern states tentatively in the month of April. NERIST NEE exam is conventionally conducted in the month of April every year. The official information brochure releases in the month of January. In previous years, the examination was conducted in April.

NERIST NEE 2021 Eligibility Criteria

NERIST NEE exam is conducted as three different exams i.e. NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III. Based on these exams, admission is offered to qualifiers in the Base Module & Degree Module of Engineering & Technology branches of Technology branch and Degree module of Forestry branch. As per the previous year information brochure, different eligibility criteria are specified by NERIST for NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III. Eligibility Criteria for NERIST NEE-I

  • Candidates must not be more than 19 years old (General).
  • The maximum age limit for OBC & Female candidates is 22 years while SC/ST and PD candidates must not be more than 24 years old.
  • Candidates must have passed or appeared in Class 10 or equivalent exam with Science & Mathematics.
  • Applicants must have passed separately in all subjects including Science & Mathematics.

Eligibility Criteria for NERIST NEE-II

  • General candidates must not be more than 23 years.
  • OBC & Female candidates must not be more than 26 years old.
  • The maximum age limit of SC/ST and PD candidates is 28 years.
  • Applicants must have passed or appeared in Class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for NEE-II (PCM).
  • Candidates must have passed or appeared in Class 12 (vocational)/ITI/NERIST Certificate in any of the specified branches are eligible to apply to NEE-II (Vocational).
  • Those who have passed or appeared in Class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible to apply for NEE-II (PCB).

Eligibility Criteria for NERIST NEE-III

  • General candidates must not be more than 40 years old in order to apply.
  • Candidates belonging to OBC & Female category must not be more than 43 years.
  • Those who belong to ST/SC or PD categories must not be more than 45 years old.
  • Applicants must have passed or appeared in 3 years’ Diploma course from a Government recognized polytechnic in any specified allied discipline/branch.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

NERIST NEE 2021 Application Form

Last year, the application process for NERIST NEE exam was hosted online at the official website neeonline.ac.in. It is expected that the NERIST NEE 2021 Application Form is to be made available in the same way as per schedule. How to Fill Up NERIST NEE 2021 Application Form?

Step 1: Visit the official website neeonline.ac.in using a compatible web browser.

Step 2: Click on “Online Application for NEE-2021“.

Step 3: Now candidates have to click on “New Registration” available at the login page.

Step 4: Fill up the requisite details in the registration form and click on “Sign Up“.

Step 5: Complete the activation process by clicking on the activation link received at the registered email ID.

Step 6: After clicking on the activation link, enter the validation code received on the registered mobile number.

Step 7: Login to the website using the registered email address and password.

Step 8: Access the online application form by clicking on “My Application“.

Step 9: Select program type, school and preferable first program from drop-down boxes and then click on “Add Program” to proceed to fill up the online application form.

Step 10: Fill up the application form by entering the necessary details and then click on “Save & Continue“.

Step 11: Upload scanned image and photograph as per specifications.

Step 12: Confirm the form after selecting academic details, preferred examination centre etc.

Step 13: Make the payment of the application fee using Online Payment type option.

Step 14: Click on Pay Now & Submit Application to pay the fees.

Step 15: Generate a print out of the form and save it for future correspondence.

How to Prepare For NERIST NEE 2021?

As the NERIST NEE 2021 is expected to be conducted in April, 2021, aspirants must start preparing to crack the test in the first attempt. We are providing here some important preparation tips and tricks to secure a good marks in the exam and get admission to a preferred course.

Tip #1: Collect previous year question papers of the NEE exam and refer to them to know the type and nature of questions asked in the exam.

Tip #2: Refer to the official syllabus by clicking on the direct link provided here on this page. Identify the most important topics from the syllabus and make a study time table to cover these in time.

Tip #3: Make short notes of important facts and figures while studying. Refer to these during last-minute preparations.

Tip #4: Make a separate sheet for writing down formula & theorem and refer to these to practice numericals.

Tip #5: Solve mock tests for the NEE exam as much as possible to get acquainted with the exam and improve time management.

NERIST NEE 2021 Admit Card

Last year, NERIST issued the admit card for NEE at the official website i.e. neeonline.ac.in as per schedule before the exam. It can be expected that the admit card for NERIST NEE 2021 is to be released at the aforementioned website through candidate login. It may be noted that without a valid admit card, candidates are not allowed to appear in the exam. Read this section for more important points to remember about NERIST NEE 2021 Admit Card.

  • The NERIST NEE admit card releases at the website neeonline.ac.in only. It is not sent by post or through any other means.
  • Candidates can expect to receive a notification on the registered email ID and mobile number when the admit card is ready to be downloaded.
  • Registered candidates have to log in to the website neeonline.ac.in with the registered email Id and password to download the NERIST NEE admit card as per schedule.
  • It is mandatory to carry the printed copy of the duly issued admit card to the designated exam centre in order to appear in the exam.
  • The details of the designated exam centre, date and time of the exam is indicated on the NERIST NEE 2021 admit card.
  • Candidates are required to carry a valid photo identity along with the admit card to the exam centre.

NERIST NEE 2021 Result

According to the information brochure of the previous year NERIST NEE exam, the results of the entrance test releases as per schedule through the website neeonline.ac.in or nerist.ac.in. The results are also made available through the Directorates of Higher & Technical Education of the North Eastern States. Selected candidates are eligible to appear in further counselling round for admission to selected courses.

NERIST NEE 2021 Counselling

Last year, the NERIST announced the counselling dates through the website nerist.ac.in. Candidates who are shortlisted in results are eligible to appear in the counselling for admission as per schedule indicated by the Institute. NERIST also announce the date and time of counselling along with selected/waitlisted candidates on the official website.

Call letters to appear in the counselling are issued through the website. Other than this, no counselling letter is issued separately. It must be noted that candidates have to appear in the counselling with all relevant original documents along with their attested copies for admission to preferred course.

About NERIST

North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology is known for the unconventional academic programs that it offers. The Institute was founded in 1983 under provisions of the Government of India. During the initial stages, NERIST was established as a project of the North Eastern Council (NEC) with the objective to develop technical manpower mainly for the development of the North-Eastern region.
