NEET UG 2021 Exam Date Expected By This Date – Know where to check

Students preparing for NEET UG 2021 are in a fix. On one hand is the arduous preparation for India’s most competitive entrance exam, where 1.5 million compete for few thousand seats. On the other hand is the rampant confusion on exam date, number of attempts, syllabus, exam pattern, and more.

It is important now that some sort of clarity is given on the matter. Because students need to chart their preparation strategy accordingly. Moreover, if the exam is held twice, and the exam dates are sooner (like JEE Main 2021 is being held in Feb, March, April, May) then students need to speed up their preparations.

NEET UG 2021 Exam Date is expected to be announced by 25 January

The only silver lining now is that exam date of NEET 2021 is expected to be announced by January 25, 2021. This is because on January 10, 2021, the education minister was quoted by news reports as saying that he will announce details in 10-15 days.

From the day of the interview, to his promise of 10-15 days, the expected date of announcement of NEET UG 2021 exam details is thus between January 20 to 25, 2021.

Therefore high hopes are riding on NTA, Education Minister, and the Education Minister to make announcements by the promised dates.

However, there is of course no guarantee that this will happen. Considering all the chaos around NEET UG, it will be safe to expect more delays in date announcement.

Number of Attempts Increase – Holding NEET UG Twice

Education Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, hinted that they are “exploring the possibility of conducting NEET more than once a year”.

Before this, NTA also wrote to Union Health Ministry, seeking permission to conduct NEET twice a year.

It is being predicted that if the exam is twice, then it will be held in May-June, or June-July.

So, the possibility of increase in number of NEET attempts is there but nothing can be said, until the official notice is out.

Students have taken over social media to request the Education Minister and NTA to conduct NEET more than once this year.

This is increasing pressure on the exam conducting authorities.

Whereas NTA has started registration for the national level engineering entrance exam (JEE Main 2021), it has maintained total silence on the medical entrance exam NEET 201. This has left students hanging in the balance, who are now demand release of NEET dates and details asap.

Apart from this, all over social media, students are requesting Education Ministry, and Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal to increase the number of attempts. Until now, NEET is only held once a year, usually in the month of May. But now that JEE Main shall be held 4 times a year, students demand that number of NEET attempts should also be increased.

Official Update – NEET 2021 Syllabus Not Reduced

The syllabus of JEE Main and NEET 2021 has not been reduced. On the other hand, the school board syllabus has been reduced. Candidates have been asking how they should prepare for JEE and NEET exams if the schools are not going to teach certain portion of the syllabus.

To this, the Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, NTA, and Education Ministry have confirmed that in NEET and JEE Main there will be optional questions and students to ensure that students who have reduced syllabus will not be negatively impacted. Therefore the candidates must not worry about the syllabus.
