How is NATA 2022 Result Calculated?
The Council of Architecture (CoA) prepares a merit list on the basis of the candidate’s performance each year. This performance is calculated in terms of percentile scores instead of raw scores with the help of a formula. In order to calculate the NATA 2022 Percentile score, the following things are taken into consideration-
- The total marks secured by each candidate in the NATA 2022 Exam
- The total number of candidates who appeared in the exam.
- Cumulative candidates that is the total number of candidates scoring the same marks in the NATA exam.
Once we have the following data, we can calculate the percentile scores using the given formula –
(Total number of candidates appeared – cumulative candidates) × 100 ÷ Total number of candidates who appeared
For example – If the total number of students appearing for the NATA 2022 exam is 30,000. A candidate achieves a score of 150 along with 9 other candidates. This means that the cumulative candidates for a score of 150 are 10. Now put the values of the total number of candidates who appeared (30,000) and the cumulative candidates (10) in the formula. The answer will be the percentile score of the candidate with 150 raw marks.
If appeared for both 1st and 2nd test: Candidates who have given both the NATA’s will be issued a separate scorecard for both the test. The scorecard of the second test will consist of the marks of the first as well. However, the best score out of both the tests will be the valid score for B.Arch admission.
