NTA has opened the JEE Main correction window 2021 on January 27, 2021. Two separate links have been activated. One is the application correction link, and the other is for image correction. All candidates who submitted application form before the last date can access the application correction link from here, login, and edit all details in the form. However the image correction link is only for the candidates who have received email or sms from NTA about incorrect images. Note that others, who have not received any message, but still want to change the images, need to do it via the application correction link. NTA is not charging any additional fee for form corrections; anyone who has submitted the form can login using the link and edit their forms.

How to edit JEE Main 2021 Application Form?
The steps to use the JEE Main correction window 2021 is simple. All you have to do is to carry out the following steps:
- Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Now click on the link for form correction.
- Then login with your application number and password.
- Once you have entered the candidate dashboard, go to the section you wish to edit, and change the field.
- Now ensure that all fields are correct.
- If there is a additional fee amount, pay it.
- Submit the form and download the new confirmation page!
What details can be edited during JEE Main correction window 2021?

Exam Center can Also Be Changed
Usually NTA does not allow candidates to change exam center. However this time, they have clarified that exam center city change is also allowed. The 17th point in JEE Main 2021 FAQs says –
Yes, candidates may correct/ change his/her particulars including City of Exam Centre in the Online application, when correction window will be opened under intimation to the candidates through Public Notice for each Session.
Can we change session in JEE Main correction window 2021?
Yes, you can change session during the form correction, as per information received so far.
However, the process of fee refund is different. If you do not want to appear in the session for which you have already paid fee, then NTA will refund that amount. For this, you will have to make a request only during the application process of the session for which you want to withdraw. Therefore you cannot apply for refund now, you will have to do it when application form submission process begins for March / April / May, whichever session you want to withdraw for.
How to remove image discrepancy?
Incorrect images are a frequent issue in JEE Main application forms. In order to help students know that they have uploaded incorrect images, NTA sends emails and sms to them about it. Therefore you should keep checking your registered email id and mobile for communication from NTA about wrong images. And if you have got any communication, then you need to login to your form and remove image discrepancy.
The process to do it is to login at the candidate login. Then go to the upload images section. There, you will see remove image discrepancy option, or image re-upload option. This time, upload correct images.
Can I add sessions in correction form?
As per information so far, yes, you can add sessions during form correction of JEE Main 2021. However for additional sessions, you will have to pay the balance fee amount.
How to change category certificate during JEE Main correction window 2021?
If you have uploaded an incorrect category certificate, and now want to change it during correction, follow these steps.
Go to the login link for form correction. Then enter your application number and password and login. Then in the candidate dashboard, go to the “Image Upload” section. Now click on the link against category certificate and re-upload the correct file. Note that this is a one-time option so upload the correct file this time!
Can we edit permanent and present address?
Yes, you can edit the present as well as permanent addresses fields in JEE Main 2021 application form, during correction window.
What about community?
Yes. Caste as well as community can be changed. However if you change category from SC / ST / PWD to general, then you will have to pay the excess fee.
Parents’ information can be changed in JEE Main 2021 correction window?
Yes, that too can be changed during the correction. You can change their occupation, qualification level, income details as well.
Fee for JEE Main Correction Window 2021
There is no fee to edit the JEE Main 2021 application form. This facility is free of cost.
You will have to pay a fee if you make such a change in category, exam center, or gender where a higher fee was applicable.
For example, if you had earlier applied as general-female, then you had paid Rs 325 as fee. But now if you change it to general-male, then the new fee applicable to you is Rs 650. So you have to pay the difference in fee amount, that is Rs 650 – 325 = Rs 325.

Significance of JEE Main Correction Window 2021

About JEE Main 2021
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains is the national level engineering and architecture entrance exam. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
There are 3 different papers in the exam. Paper 1 is for those who wish to get admission in engineering (BE / B.Tech) programs. Then the paper 2A is for those who want to get admission in B.Arch program. And the paper 2B is for B.Planning admissions.
This time, over 11 lakh students have applied for the exam. This is much higher than last time’s figure, where 9.5 lakh had applied, and in 2019, 10 lakh had. However it is relevant to note that for the February session, 6.5 lakh will be taking the test.
