How was the JEE Main 2021 Paper 2a and 2b Exam?

The B.Arch and B.Plan paper was held on February 23, 2021. The paper 2a is B.Arch and paper 2b is B.Planning.

B.Arch paper: Most of the candidates from both shifts said that the paper was pretty good. Surprisingly, the candidates said that in the B.arch paper aptitude section was more difficult than the mathematics section. Other than that, the paper was easy to moderate. The drawing section was time-consuming and it had visualization based questions.

B.Plan paper: The B.Plan paper was good too as per the students after both the shifts. However, the maths section of the B.Plan paper got a mixed reaction from the students. Some said that the section was easy however some said it was difficult. However, as per the reactions of the candidates, B.Planning paper seems to be between easy to moderate in difficulty level.

JEE Main 2021

JEE Main 2021 is a national-level UG engineering entrance exam. The score of the exam is used for the selection of the candidates in JEE Advanced exam, for admission to the IITs. Rest of the institutes of the nation including the CFTIs, IIITs, NITs use the JEE Main 2021 paper 1 score for admission. The paper 2a and 2b scores are used for admission in B.Arch and B.Plan courses. The exam is held in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Gujarati, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

FAQs

What will be the advantages of Multiple Sessions in JEE (Main)-2021?

If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as Board examination), then he/she will not have to wait for one full year.

Is is compulsory to appear in all the 4 sessions?

A candidate need not appear in all four Sessions. However, if a candidate appears in more than one Session then his/her best of the 2021 NTA Scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List / Ranking.

If any candidate did not apply for February session, can he/she apply for remaining session?

Yes, opportunity will be given to apply for next session to be held in March/ April / May Sessions.

Whether NTA has changed the syllabus of JEE (Main)-2021?

No, the syllabus of JEE (Main) 2021 is the same as that of the last year. However, keeping in view the decision taken by different Boards all over India, NTA has decided that there will be a total of 90 Questions in the Question Paper and candidates will be required to attempt 75 questions only. There will be no negative marking for 15 optional questions.

Will Paper 2A & Paper 2B be held Four Times a year?

No. It will be held twice a year (February & May) as it includes Drawing Test in Pen & Paper (offline) mode.
