How to apply for IRMASAT 2022?

Candidates can refer to the below steps to know about how to fill in the IRMASAT application form.

1st Step – Visit the official website of IRMA i.e.

2nd Step – Register yourself on the admission portal. Fill in the details – Name, a valid e-mail address, a valid mobile number, create a password, select state, city, and course for which you are applying.

The password you are creating must fulfill the below criteria.

  • It should be of minimum 8 characters
  • At least one upper case letter, one number (0-9), and one special character should be present.

3rd Step – A verification email will arrive in the inbox of your email address. Click on the link given in that verification email and it will directly take you to the application form.

4th Step – Now you will be on your dashboard. Click on the “Apply Now” button to process further.

5th Step – Now fill in the basic details like applicant type, gender, date of birth, PwD status (if applicable), the sponsored applicant (if applicable).

6th Step – Now upload your photograph and signature according to the format required. Then click on the button to have your application considered for profile-based selection. Then click on Next.

7th Step – Fill in the general information like annual income, parents name, mother tongue. Then click on Next.

8th Step – Fill in your correspondence and permanent address details. Then click on next.

9th Step – Fill in your academic details like current education status, X, XII, graduation marks. Click on next.

10th Step – Fill in the work experience details (if applicable) and click on next.

Image Specifications for IRMASAT 2022

Candidates need to keep the below-mentioned points in mind while uploading their photographs and signatures.

  • Format of the photgraph and signature must be either PNG or JPEG.
  • Size of the images should not exceed 512 KB. Dimension of the images should be 200 px tall and 150 px wide.

IRMASAT Exam Pattern 2022

IRMA Anand Entrance Test is divided into two parts – Written ability Test (WAT) and (PI). On the written ability test candidates will be provided a topic on which they have to write 200-300 words in 30 minutes. IRMASAT Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates who wish to appear for IRMASAT 2022 must know the required eligibility criteria. They can refer to the below points for the same.

  • Aspirants should have obtained a graduation degree in any discipline from a UGC recognized university / college.
  • Candidates should have atleast 50% aggregate in their graduation.
  • Candidates in the final year of graduation may also apply but theyhave to ensure that all their examinations are completed till the commencement of classes.
  • Aspirants must have to submit their scores for CAT 2021 or XAT 2022. Because after the preparation of merit list on the basis of marks obtained in CAT 2021 or XAT 2022, shortlisted candidates will be allowed to appear for IRMASAT 2022.
  • IRMA shortlist the candidates for IRMASAT 2022 on the basis of two different merit calls:
    • Merit-based Calls – In this list candidates will be selected on the basis of their scores in CAT 2021 or XAT 2022.
    • Profile cum Merit based calls – In this candidates will be selected on the basis of scores obtained in CAT 2021 or XAT 2022. And they should have done their graduation in any of these discipline – Agri Packaging and Processing, Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Cooperation – only agriculture cooperatives, Dairy Technology, Fishery, Food Processing, Food Science, Food Technology, Forestry, Horticulture, Veterinary.

IRMASAT 2022 Selection Procedure

The detailed selection procedure for Indian Nationals can be divided into two stages which have been discussed in the following section.

Stage I: Shortlisting candidates on the basis of their CAT/XAT scores

In the first stage, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their either CAT score or XAT score, depending on which one is higher. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection via email or text message to their registered mail address and phone number.

Stage II: WAT and Interview Procedure

The second stage of IRMASAT 2022 can be further subdivided into two parts, the Written Ability Test (WAT) and the Personal Interview (PI).

Written Ability Test (WAT): The first round, shortlisted candidates have to appear immediately after the briefing of the Admissions Chair, on the particular day of their personal interview, is the Written Test Ability (WAT). This will be an offline test of 30 minutes which will be taken by the candidates using pen and paper. They will be required to write an essay of 200 to 300 words on a given topic and upload the scanned answer booklet to the IRMA website using their specific login credentials. This test is used to analyze the knowledge of candidates on rural aptitude as well as test their written communication abilities.

Personal Interview (PI): The next round, candidates have to appear for is the Personal Interview (PI) session where the candidates will be tested on their managerial abilities, communication skills, and their suitability for the program. Another important aspect is to test the candidates on their rural management as the PGDM (RM) course is specific to organizations dealing with rural development in the country. The personal interview will be conducted in either online mode or offline mode depending on the choice of the particular candidate. The offline Interview will be held in 5 cities namely, Anand, Bangalore, Delhi, Guwahati, and Kolkata. Candidates opting for an offline interview will be asked to enter a choice of 2 among the 5 above-mentioned centers. IRMA has to right to change or cancel any personal interview center.

Final Selection

The final selection of the candidates for admission will be based on the following criteria:

  • 35% weightage to the percentile of marks obtained in either CAT or XAT examination
  • 35% weightage to the marks obtained in the Personal Interview (PI) round
  • 5% weightage to the marks obtained in the Written Ability Test (WAT)
  • 5% weightage to the academic performance throughout (1.5% to 10th standard marks, 1.5% to 12th standard marks, 2% marks to Graduation)
  • 3.5% weightage to Gender Diversity (3.5% for females and transgenders, 0% for males)
  • 5% weightage to Regional Diversity ( 2 marks will be added to the fin score of the particular candidate who provides valid proof of passing their 10th/ 12th standard examination from a school situated in an aspirational district, 3 marks will be added to the final score of the candidates belonging to the North-Eastern states of India, provided they produce a valid domicile certificate)
  • 1.5% weightage to Sports Diversity ( Candidates, providing government certificates for their participation in sports at different levels, will receive extra marks in their fin score)
  • 2% weightage to Academic Diversity ( Candidates from any discipline other than the Engineering stream will receive benefits)
  • 3% weightage to Academic Pedigree (NIRF 2021 rankings for Engineering, Dental, Pharmacy, Law, Medicine and other colleges and ICAR rankings for agricultural universities will be used to determine this)
  • 5% weightage to Work Experience (Only full-time and paid employments will be considered and experience will be calculated in months as of September 30, 2021)

Scholarship at IRMA Anand

There are various financial assistance programs available for the needy students at IRMA, some of which are discussed below.

IRMA Scholarship

20 students pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) will be eligible for this scholarship worth 1.17 crore. Out of 20, 10 scholarships will be available for the general pool and 10 scholarships will be available for females. The scholarship amount will cover 50% of the tuition fees of the students. In the first year, scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the overall selection merit of the IRMASAT admission procedure, and in the second year, scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic performance that is the CGPA of the first year.

Mirae Asset Foundation (MAF) Scholarship

4 students are eligible for this scholarship every year out of which 2 students are selected from the first year and 2 from the second year. The scholarship amount is rupees 5 lakhs per student every year and it is evaluated yearly at the beginning of the academic year.

SC Scholarships

4 students at IRMA are eligible for this scholarship provided by The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India which covers the entire cost of education. This scholarship includes tuitions fees, non-refundable charges, boarding and lodging expenses, cost of books, stationaries, and a personal computer.

ST Scholarships

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India provides a full scholarship for the SC students at IRMA. This scholarship covers tuition fees, boarding and lodging expenses, book-grant and a one-time grant for purchasing a personal computer.

IDFC First Bank MBA Scholarship

Meritorious students from the weaker sections of society who are keen on pursuing an MBA are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship amount is rupees 1 lakh per year for students pursuing their degrees at IRMA.
