IICD Syllabus 2022
The syllabus for IICD examination is not defined. The following are the important topics for the IICD examinations, however, it is not exhaustive of the same.
The syllabus for IICD 2022 will contain questions from these sections-IICD Material, Colour & Conceptual Test and General Awareness, Creativity & Perception Test.
The estimated topics from different sections of question paper of Part A are given below-
- Estimation of sizes

- Visual interpretation

The candidates will have to cover all these topics to perform well in part B of the paper-
- Intelligent use of materials,
- The realization of a 3D form

IICD Exam Pattern 2022
The pattern for the IICD examination is as follows.
PART A: Question Paper
A question paper will be sent to the candidate on the registered email id of the candidate along with the Admit Card. The candidates will be required to answer the questions and submit all the responses in Word file/ PDF file . They also have to submit their Portfolio as per the schedule given.
PART B: Portfolio Submission
The portfolio should be a creative compilation and collection of candidate’s own artistic work. Sketching, painting, embroidery, photography, artistry experiments with materials, creative writing, etc. can be included in the portfolio of a candidate.
The evaluation criteria will be based on the following-creative ability and skills, observations and perceptions, synthesis and visual interpretation, interest areas, etc. Specifications and instructions regarding the portfolio submission will be informed to the candidate through the email along with the Question Paper.
PART C: Personal Interview
The personal interview will be conducted in online mode only . The schedule and instructions for the same will be intimated to the candidate through the email. The interview panel will be judging the individual’s personality. They will be looking for the following attributes in the prospective candidates:
- Craft aptitude
- Intelligence Quotient(IQ) of the candidate
- Effective Communication Skills
- General Awareness about Design and related industry
- Overall Personal Achievements in academics and co-curricular activities.

As per last year, the section wise weightage of the IICD 2022 examination is as follows.
