ICSI 2021
About ICSI: Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is the body that is responsible for developing and regulating the profession of Company Secretaries in India. It basically provides education to the enrolled candidates for the Company Secretaries (CS) Course. To enroll in the institute candidates have to register and qualify the CS executive Entrance Test (CSEET). Then the candidates have to pass 2 more levels which are CS Executive and CS Professional course. After finishing the CS course, candidates become a Company Secretariat.

ICSI 2021 Registration
To be able to register with Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) the candidates have to start with registration.
To register for the CS courses, candidates have to follow the steps below:

- A dropdown menu shall open with options like “Register for CSEET“, “Register for CS Course” and “Student Executive Registration For CSEET Passed Information“.

A student is required to complete the Executive and the Professional examination within the registration period. However, on payment of requisite fees the validity of the registration may be renewed / extended for further period subject to fulfilling the applicable guidelines.
ICSI 2021 Admit Card
The admit card for the ICSI exams are issued online to the candidates. The notification regarding the release of the admit card is made available on the official website icsi.edu. The admit card can be downloaded using the 17-digit Registration Number.
The admit card has the allotted exam centres for the candidates with complete address. Important exam related instructions and schedule of the papers are also issued with it.
ICSI 2021 Result
Institute of Company Secretaries of India releases the result for CSEET, executive and professional. The result is announced online, on icsi.examresults.net and icsi.edu. To check ICSI CS result, roll number and registration number are needed. Along with the result, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) also releases a merit list and details of the top 3 rank holders.
After the declaration of the result, candidates will also have the provision to obtain “Verification of Marks” of any subjects within 30 days from the CS result has been declared.
Also, CS Professional Result-cum-marks statement copy is dispatched via post to the candidates after the declaration of the result. If candidates do not receive it within 30 days after the announcement of the result, then they may contact at exam@icsi.edu. Also, while mailing to the concerned authorities candidates are advised to mention their Roll Number, Application Number, Name, and other crucial details in the E-mail.
How To Become a Company Secretariat?
The whole journey of becoming a CS has 3 stages. Candidates get multiple chances to take these exams. The stages and number of times ICSI CS exams are held is as follows:

Earlier, CS Foundation was the entry-level programme of ICSI CS course. However, in 2020, ICSI made a big change and replaced the entire foundation programme with CSEET.
Existing Foundation Programme Students shall be allowed to appear in the Foundation Programme Examinations till the expiry of the validity of their registrations. New registrations for the CS Foundation programs have been discontinued.
ICSI 2021 CS Programme Structure
To simplify the entire programme structure of ICSI CS 2021, let us imagine ICSI to be a college.
1st step- CSEET 2021: You take admission here by clearing CSEET.
2nd step – CS Executive 2021: After admission, you register for the executive programme. This programme has 8 papers. After completing the syllabus of CS executive, you give the CS Executive exam. On passing the exam you move to the final stage.
3rd step – CS Professional 2021: The final stage is the CS professional programme. This programme has 9 papers. On completing the preparation and the CS professional syllabus, candidates have to give the CS professional exam. You complete the CS professional exam, and you become eligible to be a Company Secretariat.
ICSI CSEET 2021

CSEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility for CSEET 2021 is:
- Candidates must be 10+2 passed / appearing or must have a qualification equivalent to 10+2.
- All Graduates/ Post Graduates are also eligible
- Exemption 1: Students who have passed the final examination of ICAI and/or ICMAI do not have to appear for CSEET. Such students have to pay an exemption fee at the time of registration form the CS Executive Programme 2021.
- Exemption 2: Students who have passed the CS Foundation programme are exempted from CSEET and they have to pay no exemption fee.
Exam Pattern of CSEET 2021
There are 2 parts of CSEET 2020 – A) CBT B) Viva – voce
A) Pattern of CSEET 2021 CBT:
- Mode: The test is a computer based test
- Time: The test is of 120 Minutes.
- Subjects in the test: There are 4 subjects in the test
- Total marks: The total marks of the test is 170 marks
- Type of questions: Objective Type / Multiple Choice Questions with one option correct
- Marking scheme: 1 and 2 marks in each question. There is no negative marking.
The CBT shall have MCQs based on audio clips, video clips, and descriptive questions.

B) Pattern of CSEET 2021 Viva-voce:
- Viva based on: It is based on Presentation and Communication Skills
- Marks: The viva-voce is of a total 30 marks
- Conducted when: simultaneously with or immediately after the MCQ based CBT through online mode using artificial intelligence (AI) or through recoded videos at the designated test centers.
- Duration: 15 minutes
Total scores of CSEET 2020 = CBT + Viva-voce (170 + 30 = 200 marks)
CSEET 2021 Cutoff Marks
The candidates have to secure minimum qualifying marks to pass CSEET 2021. The same is given below:
- Candidates have to get 45% marks in each paper for the CBT.
- In aggregate (CBT + viva-voce) the candidates have to get a total of 50% marks.
