HPCET 2021 is expected to be held in May or June. HPTU is likely to announce exam date and commence registrations in February or March. Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), Himachal Pradesh, conducts the HP Common Entrance Test for admissions of eligible candidates in B.Tech, B. Pharmacy, M.Tech, M. Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, BHMCT, B.Sc HMCT, M.Sc. HPCET is an offline exam. However, the application form for it is provided online. The questions in the exam are of MCQ type and the total marks are 100 or 200 depending on course. The Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test is conducted only in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The exam is held in different shifts. The selection letter shall is issued to the selected candidates after the completion of all the formalities after the HP CET 2021 examination. Shown below are the important dates.

HP CET 2021 Exam Date
There is no official notice for the HP CET 2021 examination date as of now. But it is expected that the exam will be held in the month of May. In the previous years, the exam dates for HP CET have been as follows:

HP CET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The applicants must read and understand the eligibility criteria before filling the application form for HP CET 2021. If any one is found in ineligible at any stage, the candidature is cancelled.
Age Limit:
For Post Graduation Courses
- In case of boys, the maximum age is 26 years, in case of girls, the maximum age is 28 years.
- In case of SC / ST candidates, the maximum age is 29 years.
For Undergraduate courses
- In case of boys, the maximum age is 22 years, in case of girls, the maximum age is 24 years.
- In case of SC / ST candidates, the maximum age is 25 years.

HP CET 2021 Application Form
The official authority releases the application form for HP CET 2021 on the official website. Candidates can apply for the same online only. They should note that any incomplete HP CET 2021 application form is not considered. First of all, the applicants need to register with basic details like applicant name, father name, email id, mobile number. Then, the username and id is sent to the registered mail id. Candidates can then fill the application, upload documents and pay the relevant application fee.

HP CET 2021 Admit Card
HPTU, releases e- HP CET 2021 admit card on the official website i.e himtu.ac.in. It is duly signed by the Controller of Examinations (COE). To download the same, the applicants need to login with their application form number. Only candidates who have their HP CET 2021 e-admit card and valid identity proof like Adhaar Card, Passport etc are allowed to enter the test centre. The e-admit card consists of the important details like:
- e-admit card number
- photograph of candidate
- exam date
- centre name
- exam centre address
Candidates need to download and take a print out of the HP CET 2021 Admit Card in A-4 format. They should not mutilate the e-admit card in any way.

HP CET 2021 Result
HPTU, publishes the HP CET 2021 result on the official website i.e himtu.ac.in. Candidates need to login with their roll number to check the same. A candidate is required to choose the appropriate option at the time of Counselling. The merit list is published on the basis of the marks obtained in the HP CET 2021 exam and category of candidates. An applicant who is eligible for admission in more than one category is admitted in the category of his/her choice subject to availability of seat.
HP CET 2021 Counselling
The qualified candidates have to participate in the counselling session for HP CET 2021. They need to register themselves on the official website and make choices for college and course. Thereafter, the seat allotment result is published. Candidates should note that they are eligible for all rounds of admission, if their name is listed on the HP CET 2021 merit list. Candidates have to carry their documents in the original format only.

- In case an intervening period/gap is involved, a certificate/affidavit issued by a Class-I Gazetted Officer/Notary Public shall be required for the entire intervening period/gap showing candidate’s preoccupation after leaving the Institution last attended.
- Medical Fitness Certificate for Yoga Students.
HP CET 2021 Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW)
The conducting body offers Fee Waiver Scheme to the needful candidates on the tuition fee only. Candidates who have opted for the TFW scheme, cannot change their institution or course in any case. This scheme cannot be transferred from one category to another. Candidates can check more details below:

Sanctioned Intake: Only 5% seat intake is applicable per course is available for admission. The fee waiver is available where a minimum of 30% intake is filled up

About HP CET
The HP CET examination is held at Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), Himachal Pradesh. It was established in the year 2010. The University offers both short-term and long-term programmes leading to Advance Diploma and Degrees. The exam is held for 3 hours and 2 hours each respectively. The admission is based on the merit obtained in the HP CET test and the category of the candidate.
