DTE Goa has announced the GCET exam dates 2021. The Goa Common Entrance Test will be held on 04, 05 May 2021.

Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2021 is the state-level entrance exam for engineering (BE) and pharmacy (B.Pharm) courses. There will be 3 papers – physics, chemistry, mathematics – of 2 hours each. Official Notification Released [NEW]

Centralized Admission Division, Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa published the first official notification for GCET exam 2021 on 20 November 2020. Read the complete notice here.

GCET 2021 exam date

Key points of the notice are as follows

  • Goa MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, Paramedical, B.Sc Nursing, BVSc&AH admission 2021 will be on the basis of NEET 2021 exam.
  • Likewise, Goa B.Arch Admission 2021 will be on the basis of NATA 2021 exam.
  • Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2021 will be held for admission to BE, B.Pharm courses.
  • There will be exam centers for GCET across Goa.
  • There will be 3 papers namely physics, chemistry, mathematics. Candidates who wish to get admission in BE will have to appear in all 3. Those who want admission in B.Pharm have to appear in physics, chemistry only.
  • GCET 2021 will be held on 04, 05 May 2021.

GCET 2021 Syllabus

Every year DTE Goa prescribes that the syllabus of Goa Common Entrance Test to be based on the syllabus prescribed by the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim, for Standard XIIth (Science) examination for the current year in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Which means GCET 2021 syllabus should be same as class 12 GBSHSE syllabus 2021 for PCM.

Exam Pattern of GCET 2021

  • Mode of exam: The exam is a pen-paper based test (offline exam).
  • Type of questions: There are multiple-choice questions in the test.
  • Duration of the exam: The candidates get 2 hours for each paper.
  • No. of questions: There are 75 questions in each paper.
  • Marking scheme: Each question carries 01 mark. There is no negative marking for the incorrect answers.

GCET 2021 Registration, Application Form

Eligible candidates who wish to appear in GCET exam 2021 need to apply for it first. The important things to note about registration and application form are as follows.

  • Last year DTE Goa had issued offline as well as online application forms . The mode of GCET 2021 application form will be known when prospectus is out.
  • For the GCET online application form 2021, candidates will have to visit the official website dte.goa.gov.in.
  • If offline form is available, then that too one has to download from dte.goa.gov.in.
  • In order to apply for Goa CET, you have to do registration, fill up details in the application form, upload documents, and pay fee.

Application Fee: Last year the application fee was Rs 2000. DTE Goa is yet to announce GCET 2021 fee.
