GATE 2021 ME Exam Analysis – GATE 2021 forenoon and afternoon session is over now. GATE 2021 Mechanical paper analysis is now available below. The overall ME paper was easy to moderate and there were NO MSQs asked in the forenoon paper. In the afternoon session too, the paper was moderate and also no MSQs were not asked. GATE 2021 ME Exam Analysis – Afternoon Session
Difficulty level: The paper was moderate and slightly lengthy. The aptitude section was moderate and all the questions were MCQs. Mathematics was moderate.
- Number of MSQs: There were NO MSQs.
- Number of NATs: There were many NATs. There were 25+ NATs.
Topics asked: Production, Metrology, Laplace Transformation, Entropy Generation, Transdisability of forces, Volume conservation.

GATE 2021 ME Exam Analysis – Forenoon Session
Difficulty level: The paper was easy to moderate. There were more application-based questions. The aptitude section was easy. All questions in aptitude were MCQs only. Mathematics was slightly difficult.

GATE 2021 ME Exam Updates
Until the analysis of the paper is available, check the updates of GATE 2021 exam from today here:
12:30 pm: GATE 2021 ME exam in forenoon session is now over. Analysis will be available soon now.
12:10 pm: Officially, the date of declaration of result is 22 March. However every year, the organizing IITs declare results one day early. Check details.
12:00 noon: The forenoon session will end at 12:30 pm and the afternoon session will start at 3:00 pm.

11:30 am: GATE 2021 scores are used by the Public sector undertakings in India for recruitment. Also, the GATE 2021 scores will remain valid for 3 years that is in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
11:20 am: Last year the official answer key of GATE 2021 was released 9 days after the exam was over. If that trend is followed this year too, then GATE 2021 official answer key can be declared by February 23, 2021. The response sheets and question papers will be also released officially. The response sheet will be available under the login of the candidates at GOAPS, but the answer key and question papers will be available as pdfs at gate.iitb.ac.in.
11:00 am: Once the exam is over coaching centers like The GATE Academy, GATE Forum, Made Easy, etc., will be issuing the GATE 2021 ME answer key, analysis, and solutions.
10:25 am: There is negative marking in GATE 2021. The marking scheme is as follows:

9:55 am: To qualify the GAE 2021 ME paper the candidates need minimum marks in the paper. The marks are declared with the GATE 2021 result. Till then, check the cutoff marks from last year for the ME paper:

9:30 am: GATE 2021 forenoon session starts. In this session 2 papers are being held – ME and XH.
9:20 am: Today is the last day of GATE 2021 examination. It can be expected that the official answer key of GATE 2021 for all 27 papers will be available within 9 to 10 days after the exam, as per the last few years trends.
9:05 am: Other than ME, the papers today are as follows:

9:00 am: GATE 2021 ME paper will be held today in 2 shifts. The first shift will start at 9:30 am and will end at 12:30 PM. The second shift starts at 3:00 pm and ends at 6 pm.
GATE Mechanical Engineering (ME) Analysis from Last Year
In the ME paper last year, there were 65 questions in total from which 10 questions carrying 15 marks are framed from the General Aptitude topics. The following section can be referred to know about the structure of questions.
Difficulty level: Session 1 and Session 2 were same in difficulty level that is moderate to tough. Maths and GA section of the paper was easy.
Number of NATs: Total 30+ NATs were asked in the exam.
Most asked topics: Most of the questions were asked from Productions, thermodynamics, and SOM. On the other hand, fewer questions were asked from TOM.

GATE 2021 Result
The result for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is released in the form of a scorecard at the official website of the exam conducting body. The candidates can check GATE result 2021 from gate.iitb.ac.in. GATE 2021 result can be checked by providing the registration number / enrollment number / e-mail id and password. The score for GATE 2021 is valid for three years after the decalration of result.
About GATE 2021
IIT Delhi is going to conduct GATE 2021 exam. It is conducted in the online mode i.e. it is a computer based test. GATE is conducted for 25 papers in total wherein, general aptitude questions are there in every paper. The maximum marks of paper is 100. The duration of the exam is 3 hours for every paper. There are multiple-choice questions as well as numerical answer-type questions in the test.
