GATE 2021 Admit Card Correction – As per latest news reports, IIT Bombay has started GATE admit card correction facility. Candidates who have found error(s) in their admit card, can send correct request to respective zonal GATE Office. The last date to report the errors is January 13, 2021. To report the error to the zonal GATE office, candidates have to compose an email with the subject line “Correction in Admit Card.” and send it to the email Id of the Zonal IIT. To make changes in admit card of GATE 2021, you need to send an email to your zonal GATE office with “Correction in Admit Card” in subject line. (Source: News reports).
What is zonal GATE Office? Your zonal GATE Office is the IIT under which your allotted exam center falls. The same is mentioned in the GATE 2021 admit card.
Note that the website of GATE 2021 or the brochure of GATE 2021 does not mention the admit card correction facility. The only thing close to this mentioned in the information brochure of GATE 2021 is “Any queries regarding the application, examination centre, Admit Card, and result are handled by the respective GATE 2021 zonal institute in consultation with the Organising Institute.”

The sending of email for GATE 2021 admit card correction and the last date for correction has been reported by the news portals. The news portals have further quoted the following:
“It is to be noted that only the discrepancies, if any, from the filled up registration/ application form, will be rectified. No change in existing filled-up data will be allowed,” read an IIT Bombay statement.

You can check the GATE 2021 zone code in the admit card too. For example, if your center code is 3008, then your zone code is the first digit which is 3 (IIT Delhi) and rest of the digits indicates the centre. In this case 008.
How to Check GATE 2021 Exam Centre

GATE is held in eight zones in India jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and seven Indian Institutes of Technology ( Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee) with one organising institute on a rotational basis. The GATE 2021 has been organised by IIT Bombay.
GATE will be computer based test of 3 hours for 27 subjects, with 10 questions on GA and 85 on the subject-specific syllabus. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the national level engineering entrance exam for admission to PG programs like M.Tech, ME, Ph.D. in the IITs and other GATE score accepting colleges. In addition, the scores of GATE exam are also used for recruitment in PSUs.
