CUSAT 2021: Registration Extended, Exam Date and Time Table Out

CUSAT 2021 – Cochin University of Science and Technology invites candidates to fill CUSAT application form 2021 online, at cusat.ac.in. However registration will be open for international candidates, MBA, M.Tech till 30 Apr, 31 May, and 30 Apr respectively. The exam will be held on 12, 13, and 14 June. CUSAT Common Admission Test (CAT) is the common entrance exam for admission to B.Tech, Integrated M.Sc, B.Com LLB, BBA LLB, LLB, LLM, B.Voc, M.Sc, MA, MBA, M.Voc, M.Tech, M.Phil, PhD and other courses. Important Information: Apart from CAT, CUSAT offers admission into MBA as per the scores in KMAT / CMAT / CAT. Whereas, admission into M.Tech courses is done according to GATE scores.

Those who do not have a valid GATE scores have to appear in Departmental Admission Test (DAT).

CUSAT 2021 Application Form

The CUSAT CAT 2021 application form has been released on 10th March.

Application form for CUSAT releases at admissions.cusat.ac.in. Note that no documents must be sent to the university. Check the application process.

1st step: Registration: Click on the above link of the application form given above on this page. Then, enter the name, mobile number, email id, password. After entering the details, the user account will be activated

2nd step: Fill the Details in the Application Form: Then, enter the personal details and reservation details.

3rd step: Upload Photograph and Signature: After entering the details, upload the photograph and signature.

4th step: Select the course and enter the educational qualifications: Then, select the course and enter the academic details.

5th step: Preview and Pay the Application Fee: Next, preview the application form and check the details in the form. Then, pay the application fee.

6th step: Centre Selection: Then, select the exam centres. After the selection of the exam centres, final preview will be displayed. Next, download the Confirmation Page for future reference.

Duration: The duration of the test is 3 hours. The duration of B.Voc is 2 hours

Marking Scheme: 03 marks are awarded for the correct answers. For each incorrect answer, 01 marks are deducted.

Eligibility Criteria for CUSAT 2021

The eligibility criteria for every course offered through CUSAT vary. Check the detailed CUSAT 2021 eligibility criteria given below.

Undergraduate Programmes (Except 3 year LLB programme):

  • The candidates must have passed class 12th.

B.Tech:

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Minimum 50% marks in the above subjects when put together and 50% marks in Mathematics.

B.Tech – Marine Engineering

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCM and English with not less than 60% in PCM and 50% in Mathematics alone.
  • Also, should have passed English at 10th and 12th class with 50% marks.

Age Limit: The candidates must be 25 years of age as on 1st September of the year of admission.

B.Tech Naval Architecture and Ship Building

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCM with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and PCM when put together.

B.Tech Instrumentation Engineering

  • The candidates must have passed plus two exam with PCM with at least 60% marks aggregate and at least 55% marks in Mathematics.

B.Tech Polymer Science and Engineering

  • The candidates must have passed +2 exam with PCM as optional subjects or any other exam accepted as equivalent with minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% in PCM when put together.

B.Tech Lateral Entry:

  • The candidates must have completed any 3 year Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by a Board of Technical Education recognized by the Department of Technical Education. Govt of Kerala with not less than 60% marks.

Age Limit: The candidates must be 25 years of age as on 1st July of that academic year.

B.Voc:

  • The candidates must have passed class 12th with minimum 65% marks by any recognized board with Mathematics / Statistics as any of the subjects.

M.Sc (5 year Integrated) Programmes

  • The candidates must have qualified 10+2 with PCM as optional subject or any other equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% in PCM when put together.

Integrated M.Sc in Science (5 year) Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics

  • The candidates must have passed 12th class with minimum 75% marks.
  • The candidates who have completed +2 with at least three of the four subjects (Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with minimum 75% marks.

BBA LLB / B.Com LLB

  • The candidates must have passed +2 examination with 60% marks including language in Science group / Commerce group OR with minimum 55% marks including languages in Arts / Humanities stream.

LLB: The candidates must have completed their Graduation with at least 50% marks.

LLM / LLM (IPR) Ph.D: The candidates must have passed Bachelors’ degree in Law with 55% marks from any University of Kerala.

MCA: The candidates must be Science graduate. They must have completed Graduation with Mathematics as one of the subject or Graduate in Electronics / Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Engineering Technology with 60% aggregate marks.

MCA Lateral Entry: The candidates must have a regular degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications / Computer Science and Engineering with 60% aggregate marks.

MA Applied Economics: For this course, the candidates must have completed Bachelor’s degree in Economics with 55% marks in Part III (Economics and Subsidiaries) or 60% marks in B.Com, BBA, BBM with Economics as one of the subjects or B.Sc with Mathematics / Statistics with 655 marks.

MA Hindi and Language Literature: The candidates must have completed BA / B.Sc degree with Hindi as a subject of study with at least 45% marks in Hindi.

Note: The candidates belonging to Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Schedules Tribes (KST) are eligible to apply for CUSAT.

CUSAT 2021 Admit Card

The CUSAT admit card 2021 can be downloaded from admissions.cusat.ac.in before exam.

To download the admit card, the candidates have to enter the user id and password.

  • CUSAT admit card is not sent via post. It can be downloaded via online mode only.
  • Details like exam date, exam timings, address of the exam centre etc.
  • On the examination day, it is mandatory to carry the printed admit card.

CUSAT 2021 Answer Key

The CUSAT answer key 2021 will be available after exam.

First provisional answer keys are released. Then final key will be released. Check the marking scheme given below in order to calculate the scores.

  • +3 marks will be awarded for the correct answers
  • -1 marks will be deducted in case of wrong answers

The CAT score will be calculated as per the formula: S = 3R – 1W, where S stand for CAT score, R is the number of right answers and W is the number of wrong answers

CUSAT 2021 Result

CUSAT announces Common Admission Test (CAT) result at admissions.cusat.ac.in. The result is announced in the form of a rank list.

To check the rank list, the candidates need to select the programme for which they appeared in the test. The rank list displays the details like registration number, roll number, category of the candidate, rank obtained.

CUSAT CAT 2021 Counselling
