Candidates seeking admission to UG Engineering programs in the state of Karnataka have to qualify the exam. COMEDK is conducted once a year for admission to B.E. programs in specified disciplines. The official announcement regarding the conduct of COMEDK 2021 is yet to be released at comedk.org. This year, the computer-based test is expected to be conducted in May 2021. Additionally, those who have NATA and NEET score can apply directly for COMEDK counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS and B.Arch courses respectively. Reportedly, more than 58000 candidates took the COMEDK test last year for admission to UG courses offered by member institutions in the discipline of Engineering. COMEDK 2021 Exam Date
The official information about the COMEDK 2021 exam date is yet to be disseminated at the official website. The applications are expected to commence in the month of January 2021. However, it is being anticipated that counselling for admissions will not commence before June 2021. Eligibility Criteria for COMEDK 2021
Getting admissions through COMEDK 2021 is subject to the fulfilling of the specified minimum eligibility conditions. The minimum eligibility criteria for UG admission as per last year information brochure has been highlighted below.
For UG Engineering admission
- Candidates must have passed in the Class 12th exam
- Candidates must have studied the subjects of Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level and passed in them individually.
- Along with the compulsory subjects, one must have also studied Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics as an optional subject.
- Candidates must have scored at least 45% marks in aggregate in the compulsory subjects.
- SC/ST and OBC candidates must have scored at least 40% marks.
For UG Architecture admission
- Candidates must have passed in the Class 12th exam
- One must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in each of the subjects individually and also 50% as minimum aggregate.
- SC/ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka must have secured 45% marks individually and 45% marks in aggregate.
- It is mandatory for all B.Arch admission applicants to pass the NATA 2021 exam or second paper of the JEE 2021 exam.
Note: There will be no admission test conducted by COMEDK for admission to B.Arch course. Candidates fulfilling the above specified minimum criteria can apply directly for B.Arch course as per notification on the website comedk.org.
COMEDK 2021 Application Form
Application form of COMEDK 2021 is released online through the official website comedk.org. No other modes of application are accepted in this context. As per the procedure followed in the last iteration of the exam, applicants had to register first at the COMEDK official website and thereafter, fill-up the application form online. The applicable fees must also be paid online to complete the process.
How to apply?
Step 1: After visiting the official website of COMEDK at comedk.org, navigate to the link for new user registration.
Step 2: Register by entering the correct details including email ID and mobile number.
Step 3: Generate the login credentials by entering OTP received and clicking in ‘Register’.
Step 4: An SMS is received on the registered mobile number indicating the User ID/Application Number and Password.
Step 5: Log in to the website using the credentials generated and click on ‘Go to Application’.
Step 6: Complete the process to fill up the online COMEDK application form 2021 after selecting the exam that the candidates is applying for.
Step 7: Upload the specified documents as scanned images. Make sure that these are prepared before starting to fill-up the form.
Step 8: Verify the details in the Preview page before clicking on Submit.
Step 9: Deposit the application fee
Step 10: Verify and make a final submission and generate a hard copy of the submitted application form.

How to Prepare for COMEDK 2021?
As stated before, the COMEDK exam is based on the 10+2 syllabus. Therefore, candidates who have passed the board exams in 2021 and are willing to appear in the COMEDK 2021 exam for B.E./B.Tech admissions have the advantage of being acquainted with the important topics.
Here are some useful preparation tips and tricks for such candidates so as to help them ace the exam in the first attempt.
Tip 1: Know the syllabus of the exam first. This means knowing all the important topics that are asked in the exam. Identify these in each subject and if required make a list of such topics and sub-topics.

COMEDK 2021 Admit Card
As per the previous year trends, the admit card for COMEDK 2021 computer-based tests can be expected to be released online only. Last year, the COMEDK admit card was issued through the official website comedk.org. It is mandatory for all registered candidates to have the COMEDK 2021 admit card on them before appearing for the exam. Therefore, one must download the same from the website without delay as soon as it is released.
The process to download the admit card is simple. Candidates have to log in to the website comedk.org with a er ID and Password to download the COMEDK admit card 2021. While downloading the admit card, it is generally advised to verify the details present on it. In addition, exam day instructions may also be present on the COMEDK admit card.
Candidates must note that without the admit card, they will not be allowed to sit fir the exam. In addition, one must also produce a valid photo identity proof such as Aadhar card, Voter card, Passport etc. for the verification of identity at the exam centre.

COMEDK 2021 Answer Key
Answer keys of the COMEDK 2021 are expected to be released through the official website after the exam is concluded. As per last year’s exam, the answer keys were released through the official website comedk.org.
At first, the provisional answer keys are released against which, candidates are allowed to submit objections. If the objections are found to be valid, then necessary rectifications are done on the provisional answer keys.
The final answer keys are also released through comedk.org after necessary revisions. Candidates cannot raise objections against the final answer keys and the results are compiled on the basis of the final answer keys only.
COMEDK 2021 Result
The final result of COMEDK exam are usually released through the website comedk.org after the release of the final answer keys. Since the COMEDK results are based on the final answer keys, no request for revision or re-evaluation are entertained. It is released in the form of a final merit list of selected candidates.
Candidates indicated on the final merit lists are eligible to be called for admission counselling. Those who appear for the COMEDK 2021 exam can check the result by logging in to the comedk.org website using the User ID and the password. In addition, individual rank cards are also released by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka.

COMEDK 2021 Cut Offs
Candidates who secure minimum marks as designated by the COnsortium are only shortlisted and awarded merit list. As a matter of fact, the cut-offs are variable and dependent on a variety of factors including the level of difficulty of the exam, number of applicants etc.

COMEDK 2021 Counselling
Those who qualify the COMEDK 2021 exam by successfully securing the minimum cut-offs are awarded rank cards and listed in the final merit list. These candidates are eligible to appear for admission counselling. As per the previous year trends counselling for admission through COMEDK rank is conducted as a centralized process.
Candidates have to download the rank card from the comedk.org website and carry it to the counselling session. Additionally, other necessary documents must also be carried to the counselling session for verification. Those who wish for B.Arch admission have to separately apply for the counselling through NATA or JEE Main (Paper 2) score.
The COMEDK exam is conducted with the aim of determining the eligibility of candidates for admission to various UG courses in the state of Karnataka.
