Important Note on CMAT 2021 Syllabus

An essential part of preparing for CMAT 2021 is to know its syllabus. Syllabus indicates the topics from which questions will be asked in exam.

In the case of CMAT 2021, NTA, the exam conducting body of the exam says, that the syllabus is as prescribed by AICTE. Other that that only the exam pattern is listed in the brochure. Here it is important to note that National Testing Agency started conducting the Common Management Admission Test from 2019. Before that, the All India Council for Technical Education used to hold the exam.

Therefore to help you get the exact syllabus, we checked what AICTE mentioned as the syllabus of CMAT. However even AICTE only provided an exam pattern, and no particular syllabus per se, for the exam.

Therefore the syllabus you read on this page, or anywhere else, is largely a sum of the topics provided by MBA mentors who provide coaching for CMAT exam, and various preparation books. They have compiled these topics based on analysis of past year CMAT exams.

Marking Scheme

• For every correct answer, aspirants get +4 marks.
• Whereas for every incorrect answer, 01 marks are deducted from the total scores. 

For CMAT 2021 result, marks calculation will be as per this formula >> Number of correct answers x 4 – Number of incorrect answers.

About CMAT 2021

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online examination that is conducted by the National Testing Agency. The examinations for CMAT takes place to shortlist eligible candidates for the admission into the management programs as approved by AICTE. CMAT is a national level examination wherein candidates all across the country can participate in. To qualify the exam, aspirants have obtained minimum 50% marks in the exam. Those who belong to SC/ ST/ PWD category have to secure minimum 35% marks.
