Chandigarh University has released the application process for CUCET 2021 (Phase 1). The candidates can fill the application form via online or offline mode. The online application form is available at cucet.cuchd.in and the link to apply is available below as well.

Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2021 is being conducted to offer scholarship worth Rs 33 crores for all courses. It is also the entrance exam for admission to engineering, MBA, BA LL.B, B.Com LL.B, BBA LL.B, Pharmacy and Agriculture programs at Chandigarh University. CUCET 2021 is an online proctor mode (test from home). It will be conducted in two phases, Phase I and Phase II. There is no negative marking in the test. Chandiharh University CUCET 2021 application form can be filled via two modes; online or offline mode. Check the application process given below.

How to fill CUCET 2021 application form online?

  • First of all, click on the link given above and register by entering the name, email id, mobile number, city, discipline, program, etc.
  • Once the registration is done, the confirmation SMS / E-mail is sent.
  • Then, the dashboard opens. Enter the 10th class details and 12th class details.
  • Then, enter the current qualification and select the date for CUCET and city from the drop-down menu.
  • Then, complete the application form.

How to fill CUCET 2021 application form offline?

The candidates can purchase CUCET brochure cum admission form from the University Offices / Authorized Centres by paying Rs 1000.

Offline Application Process

  • First of all, click on the link given above and register.
  • Next, scratch the CUCET form and fill the unique form number present in the form in the option available on the website.
  • Then, enter the qualification details and select CUCET exam date.
  • The candidates are not required to pay the application fee again if the form has been purchased via offline mode.

Application Fee: The candidates are required to pay Rs 1000 as the application fee.

Mode of Payment: The candidates can pay the application fee using debit card / credit card. The candidates can also pay the application fee via offline mode at the centres.

About CUCET Phase I and II

Chandigarh University is offering scholarships worth Rs 33 crores on the basis of CUCET. The amount of scholarship is different in phase 1 and 2. The details of phase 1 and 2 are as follows.

Chandigarh University CUCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the application form, the candidates must have fulfilled the following eligibility conditions.

General Eligibility Criteria

For UG Courses – To pursue any of the UG courses, the candidates must have secured 50% or more marks in secondary education (10+2) from a recognized board (CBSE / PSEB / ICSE or any other State / National board).

For PG Courses – The candidates who have obtained 50% or more marks in their Graduation from a recognized university are eligible for PG courses.

B.Arch

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCM and also 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 OR
  • The candidates must have done 10+2 Diploma examination with Mathematics as compulsory subjects with 50% aggregate marks.
  • Also, the candidates must have passed NATA or must have obtained 40% marks in JEE Main Part 2.

Bachelor of Arts (Film & TV Studies)

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent in any stream conducted by any Board / University / Council.

Bachelor of Arts (Film & TV Studies) – University of North Alabama – USA

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent in any stream conducted by any Board / University / Council.

BA Arts (Hons.) Liberal Arts

The candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent in any stream conducted by any Board / University / Council.

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Education

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent in any stream conducted by any Board / University / Council.

BA + LLB (Hons.) Integrated

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent in any stream conducted by any Board / University / Council.

Bachelor of Arts – Economics

  • To pursue this course, the candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent exam with at least 50% marks from a recognized board.
  • Also, the candidates must have studied Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Commerce / Business OR Economics as one of the subjects in class 12th.

Bachelor of Arts – Journalism & Mass Communication

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent examination in any stream conducted by recognized board / university / council. OR
  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with 45% marks in any stream with at least 55% in English as a subject.

Bachelor of Arts – Pyschology (Hons.)

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 in any stream with 55% from a recognized board.

  • To pursue any of these courses, the candidates should have passed class 12th examination from a recognized board with 65% aggregate marks.

B.Des (Industrial)

  • The candidates must have passed class 12th with at least 50% marks OR 3 year Diploma in any branch of Engineering / Technology with 50% marks.

Bachelor of Engineering

General Eligibility

  • The candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one or two of the following subjects: Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Mathematics with minimum 60% in aggregate.

Bachelor of Fine Arts

  • The candidates must have passed class 12th examination in nay stream recognized by a Board / Council / University.

Bachelor of Law – 3 years

  • To pursue this course, the candidates must have completed Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination except Fine Arts.

Bachelor of Optometry

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects alongwith one of the following subjects; Biology / Mathematics

Bachelor of Pharmacy

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 with 60% aggregate marks in Physics, English and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Biology / Mathematics subjects.

MA Programmes: The candidates must have completed Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board / university.

M.E: The candidates must have completed Bachelor’s degree in the relevant branch of Engineering or equivalent with at lest 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

M.Sc: To pursue any of the M.Sc programmes, the candidates must have passed Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field and have obtained minimum 50% marks from a recognized board / university. However, the eligibility differs according to the various courses. It can be checked from the link given below.

Note: For BE, B.Pharm, MBA, BA+ LLB, BBA+ LLB, BCom+ LLB, B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture courses, appearing in CUCET 2021 is mandatory with an exception for only those candidates who obtain more than 90% marks in the qualifying examination or upto 50000  rank in JEE.

The candidates who successfully submit the application form Chandigarh University CUCET 2021 are issued the CUCET admit cards. The candidates are issued admit cards at their registered email id.

  • The duration of the test is 120 minutes
  • There are multiple-choice questions in the test
  • The test consists of 100 MCQs
  • The medium of the exam is English only. For the students of 10+2 Arts, one can choose Hindi as a subject.
  • Each question carries 01 marks
  • There is no negative marking

Chandigarh University CUCET 2021 Result

The result for CUCET 2021 shall be conveyed through e-mail. Also, the candidates can check the result online at cucet.cuchd.in. To check the result, the candidates need to login into their account by entering their email id or CUCET id and password. The best score of the two phases shall be considered for admission.

Within 15 days of the result, the candidates are required to pay the 30% of the total fee in order to avail the scholarship benefits.

Scholarships Worth Rs 33 Cr Through CUCET 2021

Honorable Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank launched CUCET 2021. The exam is being conducted launched with the purpose of providing quality education to those students who do not have much financial assistance. Under this scheme, a scholarship of worth Rs 33 crore shall be provided to students.

The other scholarships provided at Chandigarh University are Merit scholarship, Architecture scholarship, Scholarships for Wards of Defence Personnel.
