CEED 2021 Result – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will announce CEED result 2021 on March 08, 2021. The candidates can check CEED 2021 result online at ceed.iitb.ac.in. The result is declared in the form of a scorecard at the candidate’s login. In order to check the result, the candidates have to enter the details like registered email id and password. The validity of CEED scorecard is only for one year from the date of the declaration of the result. The scorecard comprises of details like marks obtained in Part A and B, total score, category-wise rank etc. The qualified candidates can take admission in M.Des and Ph.D programmes offered at various IITs, IISc Bangalore and other result sharing institutes. CEED 2021 Result
The candidates must keep in mind that Part A marks are displayed for all the candidates who appeared for CEED 2021. Whereas, Part B marks are only displayed for the shortlisted candidates. The rank is awarded to the shortlisted candidates only. Check the important dates regarding CEED 2021 result from below.

Compilation of CEED 2021 Result
For the calculation of the marks, the marking scheme given below is followed.

Formula to Calculate CEED 2021 Score: 0.25 x (Part A marks) + 0.75 x (Part B marks)
Final CEED Score: The final CEED 2021 score can be calculated as follows:
- By giving 25% weightage to the marks obtained in Part A
- By giving 75% weightage to the marks obtained in Part B
CEED 2021 Rank
The ranks in CEED are given according to the different categories. Check the details given below.
Details given below are as per last year’s details
Open rank: This rank is given to every candidate whose Part A marks and Total CEED score are greater than 38 and 30 respectively.
EWS rank: All the general category candidates who fulfill the EWS quota are awarded a rank within all EWS candidates. Such candidates also get Open rank as there is no separate cut-off on marks for EWS.
SC / ST / OBC – NCL rank: All the candidates other than General category shall get a rank as per their birth category. Such candidates have to submit valid documents at the time of admission. The candidates if fail to submit the documents will be considered under the Open Category only if they have an open rank.
Open PwD rank: This rank is awarded to all those candidates whose Part A marks and Total CEED score are equal to or greater than 19 and 15 respectively. Open PwD rank will only be considered true if the candidates submit the relevant document at the time of admission. The candidates if fail to submit the documents will be considered under the Open Category only if they have an open-rank and did not avail the Compensatory time.
OBC-NCL PwD rank: All the PwD candidates in OBC-NCL category shall get an OBC-NCL PwD rank along with Open PwD rank. OBC NCL PwD rank is only provided to such candidates whose Part A marks are equal to or greater than 34.2 and 27 respectively. This rank will be considered true if the candidates submit the relevant documents at the time of admission.
SC / ST PwD rank: All the PwD candidates belonging to SC / ST category shall get an SC / ST PwD rank according to their birth category along with Open PwD rank and SC / ST rank as per their birth category. The rank will be only considered true if candidates submit the relevant documents at the time of admission.
CEED 2021 Cut-Off
The candidates must note that the marks obtained in Part A is used to shortlist the candidates. The cut-off is only released for Part A in CEED. Check other important details given below.
- The cut-offs for Part A shall be used to shortlist candidates in the Open category and the formula used is µ + (σ / 2) = δ, where µ stands for the average marks and δ is the standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in Part A.
- The µ and δ are rounded off after the first decimal place.
The candidates belonging to the reserved category have to fulfill the relaxed cut-off mark as given below.

Part-B answer books are evaluated manually of those candidates only who are shortlisted from Part A.
Note: Qualifying CEED does not guarantee admission in M.DEs and Ph.D programmes. The admitting institutes might take further tests or interview for the final selection.
The candidates have to apply separately for admission into the participating institutes. These institutes shall further verify the eligibility, category certificates and other documents besides CEED 2021 score.

The candidates must keep in mind that the hard copy of the scorecards shall not be sent to the candidates. Follow the steps given below to check CEED 2021 result.

2nd step: A new window will open after following the step given above. Here, enter the registered email id and password.
3rd step: Next, click on the ‘login’ button.
4th step: Now, download the score card that is displayed on the screen and take its printout for future references.

CEED 2021 Result Re-Evaluation
The candidates must note that there is no provision for re-evaluation of Part A or Part B of the entrance examination. The requests for the re-evaluation are also not entertained by the official authority.

About CEED 2021
Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay. It is held for the admission into M.Des and Ph.D programmes at IITs and IISC Bangalore. Part A is a computer-based test whereas, Part B has to be answered in the answer booklet. Part A comprises of multiple-choice questions, multiple-select questions and numerical-answer questions. On the other hand, Part B comprises of subjective questions.
