CDAC C-CAT Result 2021
CDAC will announce C-CAT 2021 result on January 25, 2021. It will be announced at 5 pm, on cdac.in. Candidates can check it from the student’s login, by entering form number and password. Both C-CAT I, and II have been successfully held. In the result of CDAC C-CAT 2021, marks and rank of the candidates is disclosed. The rank is determined on the basis of performance in Section A / A+B / A+B+C. Candidates who appear for multiple session, get multiple ranks accordingly. On the basis of C-CAT rank-list of the category, candidate are granted admission in the courses.
C-CAT is held for admission of eligible candidates in PG diploma programmes in big data analytics, big data, mobile computing, artificial intelligence, advanced computing etc. The admission is only granted on the baiss of result. Check important dates regarding CDAC C-CAT result 2021 given below.

Important Information To Know:
This year, classes for first two months will be held in online mode. So, those who qualify the exam must have a laptops / PCs with webcam, internet connection, and good qualify headphones.
After two months, depending on the COVID situation, the classes may or may not be shifted to normal physical mode. If the situation is not good, then the training might be done online as well.
Compilation of CDAC C-CAT Result 2021
Determination of raw scores: The raw scores for CDAC C-CAT is calculated according to the marking scheme specified by the official authority.
Determination of ranks: The candidates are allotted ranks according to the performances in Section A, Section A + B, and Section A + B + C.
Also, it must be noted that if candidates have appeared for multiple sections, the multiple ranks are allotted to them.
For instance: Candidates who appeared for section A and B shall be provided 2 ranks -one on the basis of section A and one on the basis section A and B.
Other Important Information
- Candidates in Category I shall be allocated rank on the basis of performance in section A only.
- Candidates under Category II shall be allocated ranks on the basis of performance in section A and section A+B.
- Lastly, candidates under Category III gets rank on the basis performance in section A, section A+B, and section A+B+C.
Who is Not Awarded CDAC C-CAT 2021 Rank?
The following candidates shall not be awarded CDAC C-CAT 2021 rank:
- Candidates with lowest 10% performances in section A, B, or C shall not qualify for ranking that section.
- If the above criteria is not applicable, but candidates get zero or less than zero in any section then also they shall not be granted rank.
- If candidates under Category II or III did not qualify section A then also they are not allocated rank in Category I or II or III, irrespective of marks in section B and C.
- In case, candidate applied for Category II or III and did not qualify section B then also rank is not allocated.
CDAC C-CAT Result 2021 Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case if two or more candidates obtain same marks in Category A, Category A + B and Category A + B + C, then the following tie-breaking criteria shall be followed to resolve the ties:
- Firstly, the candidates with higher marks in Section A are given better rank
- If the tie is still there, then the candidate having higher value of ratio of ‘number of correct answers / number of attempted questions’ in the specific section needed for that particular category of courses shall be given a better rank.
- The candidates with the same value of this ratio and have the same Section A marks shall be then given the same C-CAT rank.

CDAC C-CAT Counselling 2021
The candidates whose names appear in CDAC C-CAT 2021 rank lists are required to then, participate in the counselling. The counselling process of CDAC C-CAT comprises of two counselling sessions and 3 rounds of seat allocations. During the online counselling process, the candidates have to:
Choice Filling: The candidates have to first submit their preferences of courses and centre preferences. The candidates can submit as many preferences they want for courses-centres as per the applied category.
Seat Allocation: According to the C-CAT ranksand order of preferences of courses and chosen by the candidates, the seats are allocated.
Note: During both the counselling sessions (1st and 2nd), the candidates are allowed to give the preferences of the courses according to the category they have selected while filling CDAC C-CAT 2021 application form.
Once, the seats are allocated the candidates have to pay the course fee.

- It must be noted that no demand draft or cheque or cash shall be accepted at any CDAC C-CAT training centres for the submission of any installement of course fees. The fee can be paid via NEFT from any back account to CDAC centre where the candidates have been allotted seat.
- No deduction in fees will be done in case the PG diploma classes have to be continued in the online mode due to the pandemic or any other situations.

CDAC C-CAT 2021 Scholarship
CDAC Kolkata and CDAC Mohali offers a scholarship of Rs 3000 per month (for a total period of 5 months) for the students joining these centres after the full payment of fee. The candidates can contact these two centes for further details.
CDAC Common Placement Programme
The placement cells of CDAC organise common placement programme for the students of PG Diploma. The placements are conducted at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune and Noida every year. The training centres are also attached with these centres to give a fair chance of placements to students from all the centres accross India.
All the training centres actively coordinate and organise campus interviews fir its PG Diploma students. More than 400 companies took part in the placement process in th year 2019 and 2020. The overall placement that was achieved overall India was 80%.

CDAC C-CAT Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are available at CDAC Training Centres. However, the facilities are given according to first-come-first-served-basis. The outstation candidates are given preference at the time of allotment.
The interested candidates can avail the hostel accommodation after sending their requests for the same to the Administrative Officers at the respective training centres, once the admission lists are published. About CDAC C-CAT 2021
CDAC’s Common Admission Test (CDAC C-CAT) is an online test that is conducted for the admission into PG Diploma courses. CDAC C-CAT is conducted twice a year. There are total 3 sections in the test and the candidates are required to appear in the sections as per the category chosen by then in the online application form.
Every section in C-CAT comprises of 150 multiple-choice questions. The candidates are considered for a particular batch as per the rank obtained in C-CAT and course / centre preferences.
