AILET 2021 Application Form
The candidates who want to appear for AILET 2021 have to fill its application form available online at nludelhi.ac.in.
While filling the application form, cross-check every detail as the facility to correct the particulars after submitting the form will not be given. Check the steps to fill AILET 2021 application form given below.
- Click on the link of the application form given above.
- Next, click on the ‘New Registration’ and enter the details like name, mobile number, email id, OTP.
- After the registration, login credentials will be generated. Now, click on the relevant button to fill the application form and enter the personal details, contact details, family details, exam centre preferences etc.
- Then, upload the documents.
- Next, preview the form and pay the application fee.
Mode of payment: The candidates can pay the application fee using via online payment gateways only namely debit card / credit card / net banking / UPI.

AILET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Before filling AILET 2021 application form, the candidates are required to fulfill all the eligibility conditions given below.
B.A.LL.B. (Hons.)- Five-Year Programme
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% for SC / ST / PwD).
- The candidates appearing in 12th class exam in 2021 can also apply.
LL.M.-One-Year Programme
- The candidates must have a LLB or equivalent law degree with 50% marks (45% for SC / ST / PwD).
- The candidates appearing in the final year of LLB examination in 2021 are also eligible to apply.
Ph.D. Programme
- The candidates must have a LLM degree or equivalent law degree with 55% marks (50% for SC / ST / PwD).
Note: Foreign Nationals / PIO / OCI are exempted from AILET 2021. However, to pursue BA LLB (Hons.) course, they must have 65% marks in the qualifying exam.

AILET 2021 Exam will be held in Offline mode. However, the mode is subject to revision.

For B.A.LL.B and L.L.M course:
- Duration of the exam: The duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes
- Nature of questions: The test is objective in nature i.e it comprises of multiple-choice questions
- No. of questions: There are total 150 questions in the test
- Maximum marks: The test is of total 150 marks
- Marking Scheme: Each question carries 01 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

How to Prepare for AILET 2021?

English
- For grammar, understanding is the key. Get hold of the basics – verbs, tenses, pronouns, adjectives, use of sentences, active and passive voice, etc are the basics that the candidates must grasp.
- Read editorials, good literature, and articles to improve reading and comprehension.
- Learn new words and find the meanings to them. Plan that in a day 5-6 new words have to be learnt,.
General Knowledge
- Read newspapers daily, at least be aware of the headlines of the day.
- Use good magazines to prepare for static and current GK.

Elementary Mathematics (numerical ability)
- Elementary maths means, maths up to class 10. Therefore, make sure to go through the concepts of maths up to the class 10 level.

Legal Aptitude and reasoning
- To know what type of questions come in this section. practice the previous year question papers.

AILET 2021 Admit Card
The candidates can download AILET 2021 admit card from nludelhi.ac.in or nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. User id / login id and password are required to download the admit card.
- The candidates are required to carry the printed copy of the admit card to the exam center.
- Details like exam date, exam timings, address of the exam center, general instructions etc are mentioned in AILET 2021 admit card.
- Along with admit card, a valid id proof, blue transparent pen, hand sanitiser etc have to be carried to the exam centre.

AILET 2021 Answer Key
NLU Delhi releases the answer key for AILET online at nludelhi.ac.in. The answer key is released with the question booklet for all the 3 courses i.e BA LLB (Hons.), LLM, and Ph.D. The candidates can use the answer to predict their scores.
The candidates can challenge the provisional answer key if they find any error in it. The objections can be sent via email at ailetadmissions@nludelhi.ac.in. In the email, name of the programme and serial number of the questions have to be mentioned.
Final Answer Key: After checking all the errors, NLU Delhi releases the final answer key. The final answer key cannot be further challenged.
AILET 2021 Result
AILET 2021 result can be checked from nludelhi.ac.in. The candidates can check the result by entering their login credentials. The candidates who are selected are intimated about their selection via email as well. The candidates who qualify the entrance test are then required to take part in the counselling.
AILET result comprises of the details like total marks, marks obtained by the candidates, qualifying status etc. The merit lists are also released along with the result.
Selection Criteria for NLU Delhi
Check the course-wise selection criteria given below.
For BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM: The selection in these courses is solely done on the basis of AILET 2021.
For Ph.D: The admission in Ph.D is a two-stage process, where weightage is given to the entrance test and viva-voce examination.
- 70% weightage is given to the written test
- 30% of the weightage is given to the evaluation of research proposals and interview / viva-voce. (Candidates equal to 3 times the number of seats shall be shortlisted for the second stage – as per the result of the entrance test).
AILET 2021 Counselling
After the declaration of the result, the selected candidates are called for counselling. The candidates who are included in the merit list are required to appear for counselling.
The schedule for counselling is released at nludelhi.ac.in. The candidates need to first register by logging to their locker. Next, they need to pay the counselling fee.
