AIBE is conducted to determine the capabilities of an advocate so that he / she can practice the profession of law in India. In a nutshell, AIBE judges the analytical abilities and basic knowledge of the law of the candidates.

AIBE XVI Onwards No Books, Notes Allowed!

All India Bar Examination is an open book examination. However from AIBE XVI 2021 onwards, BCI will not allow books and notes in the exam hall. Candidates can only take Bare Acts, without notes.

The candidates can download AIBE XVI (16) answer key from The answer key displays the set-wise answers. It is released in pdf format. Along with the answer key, set-wise question papers are also released. The answer keys and question papers can be used to calculate the scores.

If the candidates find any discrepancy in the answer key, they can mail the objections at the prescribed email id within the next working 10 days. Then, the revised answer key is released.

The Bar Council of India releases the admit card for AIBE XVI (16) online at The candidates can download AIBE XVI (16) admit card by entering their registration number and date of birth.

  • It is necessary for all the candidates to carry the printed copy of the admit card to the exam centre as it is used for verification purposes.
